Grazie Matteo & Roberto for an amazing experience at the Buchetta (second location!).
My friends and I googled locations for wine window in Firenze and came across The Buchetta. We went there and realized it had two locations! The place looked cozy so we asked if they had any spots available for dinner, the host said the earliest was 10pm. We all thought: this place must be amazing!
So off we went to the second location just for the wine window. We knocked, we got our wine (it was ok!) and asked if they would be able to accommodate us that evening for dinner, unfortunately, they only had reservations for the following night at 9pm, so we decided to take it!
The following night we arrived, and although it took a little time to be seated, we were in no rush. We were warmly welcomed by our sweet server, Matteo. We ordered the Florentine steak along with a few pastas. The Florentine steak was absolutely out of this world!
The experience of Roberto bringing the meat to our table, slicing it in front of us, and adding the “candle butter” was so much fun. I honestly never thought I could eat steak the way they recommended it—its color was very red, but it wasn’t bloody at all. Both my husband and I decided to trust the experts, and we were so glad we did. It was a wonderful surprise, and we truly enjoyed every bite!
The food came fast and warm, the atmosphere was great and cozy, the service was outstanding, all the people working at this place seriously are the friendliest and kindest we came across in Firenze and made our experience unforgettable!
Make sure you make reservations at this place as soon as you get to Firenze!!!

Read moreSomeone in my group found this place on Yelp. Actually, they found the original location, which was closed at the time. Then we walked over to this second location, which is open 7 days a week and doesn't close during the afternoon due to the wine window.
According to a previous reviewer, this restaurant is known for the cheese wheel pasta and Florentine steak. This is what my group tried as well. We got the Pici Special €33 and Bistecca alla Fiorentina €7/hg (usually 1.2 kg). We also shared soup of the day €14, tiramisu €9, and gelato with liquid nitrogen €20.
The servers were great. They obliged to our party asking to cook the steak some more... At the end, they also offered some espresso to try with the gelato as an affogato. It was delicious. I highly recommend getting the affogato!
