Unfortunately, one of the waitresses ruined our experience and our last night in Florence. We were walk-ins, looking for some good food and a good experience before we left. The place lost power just after we ordered (not their fault) but the Manager didn't communicate anything to the customers and were expected to just sit there and wait. One of the waitresses came by, was super nice to the couple next to us but was condescending to us when I asked her if we could cancel our order and leave. We had drinks (that obviously I or anyone else would pay for) but she isinuated we didn't want to pay - never said anything of the sort. Asking simple questions ie how long would it take, could we pay in cash and leave, seemed like they were too hard for her to answer and she walked away. I had to tell her that I was just asking questions because I don't know - extremely extremely extremely rude. I would never go back if she was working there - horrible experience.
On a positive note, I asked another waitress who spoke to second waitress, they sorted us out and we left. They were SO kind to us, even though their Manager didn't help them out. Well done to these ladies for handling such a hard situation with so many patrons in the same situation as us with no...

If you're in Florence and craving authentic, delicious pizza, Berberè Pizzeria is an absolute must-visit! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and stylish interior. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, eager to guide you through the menu and offer recommendations.
The pizza itself is truly something special. The crust is perfectly crispy yet soft, with just the right amount of chew, and the toppings are fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully paired. The unique combinations of ingredients make each bite a delightful experience. I particularly loved their seasonal options, which showcase the freshest local produce.
The attention to detail at Berberè extends beyond just the food – the atmosphere is relaxed yet vibrant, making it a perfect spot for a casual meal with friends or a more intimate dinner. The wine list also offers a great selection, perfectly complementing the pizza.
Overall, Berberè Pizzeria in Florence is a gem that should not be missed. The quality of the food, the excellent service, and the inviting ambiance make it a standout in the city. I’ll definitely be returning on...
Read moreThe service was so horrific I started writing this review before we even got our food. We almost walked out multiple times..
We came in about 6:30pm, which admittedly is an odd time for food in Italy, but there were a couple small groups outside and two couples inside - so it was dead. We asked the main server if we could sit inside because it was freezing. She had us wait for at least 10mins before she let us sit .. in a pretty much empty restaurant. Once we sit, she doesn’t come back for another 10-15 mins and takes our order and never once confirmed she heard what we wanted, made eye contact, or smiled. In fact, she TOOK our water glasses away because we brought in an almost empty water bottle.
I ordered an espresso which she served to me so aggressively that it almost splashed, but didn’t because there was BARELY half a shot in it. I took the single sip and asked for another and it was definitely a normal size shot because someone else prepared it.
Food comes out and it’s incredible. Such good flavors and portions. The burrata was insane. Would have liked a few more crackers but I wouldn’t dare ask, right?
Welp, she never came back or let us know that we pay...
