Terrible service. No air conditioning. Deceitful and lying staff. Read on for the numerous other reviews (that I missed when booking this atrocious property) about how the staff with lie about laws and regulations for whatever truth they are trying to bend. For us, Florence was 99 degrees Fahrenheit while we were there. Our room with “functioning A/C” (according to the staff) was 94 degrees. Our children literally had sweat dripping down their foreheads and back. 3 other rooms were leaving as we were (we left after attempting to stay in the room for 3 hours). Do not stay here.
Our “upgraded room with a sauna” was covered in black mold.
We left after a few hours and were told we would be refunded for the remaining two night stay (pay for the one). Now they are refusing to refund two nights and only one. Like I said, deceitful and the worst hotel staff I have ever come across in the 50+ countries I have traveled to.
This is the 6th hotel we have been to on our trip across Europe and Italy and the first one that required us to buy an additional room because my 8 and 5 year old children are not allowed to stay in the same room (upgraded king room with an additional single bed) as us. Do not book here. Worst service we have come across in years of travel. The receptionist was incredibly rude and laughing at us as if...
Read moreThe location is nice but that’s what the one star is for. We checked in we were told the breakfast was included and on our third day after eating breakfasts for two mornings he tells us sorry you’re no longer able to have breakfast and it’s not included. This wasn’t a lavish breakfast it’s just yogurt croissant and coffee After check in we went to our room and it had bugs in it so we asked him to help clear them out. He said close the window and gave us a can of bug spray. Mind you we have a child with us and this guy is handing me toxic bug spray It was super hot so we asked him to turn on the AC he said he has to do it from his desk. We left the hotel for dinner and came back and our room was boiling hot. By then there was another guy at the reception who was also more rude if not equally explains that the AC unit is central and not enough guests are asking for the AC so we are not going to turn it on. We asked for a fan and he argued that till death to say we can’t have a fan in the room because your child can put their fingers in it. He asked me what are other kinds of fans I showed him the blade-less and tower fans. He was extremely rude and disrespectful and resorted to telling us we can leave the hotel! I saw other guest complaining about the quality of the hotel and...
Read moreWe required to move from our original accommodation at very short notice,(due to the air con failing), almost midnight and the temperature, even at that time of night, being over 30 degrees. In desperation we phoned the Palazzo Roselli Cecconi. They could not have been any more helpful. They made the necessary arrangements super quick and we took access within 15 minutes of calling! They really went above and beyond for us. |When we saw the room we could have cried with joy. A large tastefully decorated room, very large bed, mini bar, separate dressing area and a large bathroom with shower and bath. Just as importantly the air con was fabulous. It seemed like heaven. |We found the large bed to be fantastically comfy. Our room was really quiet. We slept like logs for the 3 nights we were there. The mini bar was well stocked with good quality wines and fizz (Antinori!), beers, spirits, water and cola. |The Palazzo is a 16th century palace, with a gorgeous courtyard and a 95 year old quaint, wood panelled lift that we just loved. It is situated in an ideal spot. All the major attractions are within easy walking distance. Have I mentioned how helpful and nice the staff are!!! We simply loved staying here and will definitely stay here again on our next...
