I have only great things to say about Moyo. I have been eating at this restaurant for lunch every day for the past two years with my staff, comprising scholars and IT experts from all over the world. Though it may appear a little trendy at first---the kind of place you can easily find in Milan or Berlin---the dishes served here are almost always traditional. And of the most refined and exquisite quality! Notable are the specials, which change every day. On Fridays, for instance, the menu features fish dishes (e.g. a number of pastas with seafood sauce, swordfish, or branzino). Aside from being always fresh, impeccably cooked and delicious, the portions are generous and prices are extremely economical. I mean in the 8 to 12 euros range. During the rest of the weekdays, one can find a great variety of beef and pork dishes, remarkable pasta selections, and vibrant salads, including vegan and vegetarian (which would appeal even to the most carnivorous Neanderthal). Staff is friendly, vivacious and professional, without ever being petulant, arrogant or even histrionic (as one usually finds on the Upper East Side or Rodeo Drive). One can sit for a few hours and catch up with a former lover not seen in decades, or get a quick bite in between a hairdresser appointment and a business meeting. The pleasant experience is just the same! In the hot summer days one can eat outside, though I prefer the air conditioned rooms. I highly recommend Moyo as one of the best lunch venues in Florence. (I don't drink, but the tattooed hipsters and the quaint yuppies say that cocktails are to die...
Read moreAwful place if you're a tourist. I visited the bar in the evening with my girlfriend to end our day in Florence. We sat down to the tables because we saw that no one was ordering next to the bar, so we waited around 20 minutes for a waiter to come, 2 of the waiters did notice us, but kept on ignoring and delivering drinks to other tables. So I approached the barmen who instructed me to wait for a waiter, we waited another 20 minutes, still no waiter, I went to the barmen again, but it was a different guy now, who saw me before, he looked a bit annoyed, but listened to my order. I asked:"Do I pay now?",but he instructed that you pay after you finish your drinks, just like any normal place, we even noticed that other tables payed only when they were leaving, but it was different for us, one of the waiters brought us drinks with the check while saying with a disgusted voice: "You need to pay now!". The whole trip we have never had any problems with waiters, so this place was quite a surprise. That's why I went out of my way to write this review, because it looked like a good place and judging from the reviews Italians get treated well, but I have no idea what...

This establishment is a true visual treat. The atmosphere is undeniably the star, with beautifully designed and decorated interiors that immediately catch the eye. Every detail contributes to a stylish and inviting ambiance. I visited for drinks with friends, and we were impressed by the full bar and the overall vibe. They also offer a food menu with reasonably priced options, available both upstairs and downstairs. While it wasn't particularly crowded during our visit, the carefully curated music created a perfect backdrop for relaxing and enjoying our drinks. The combination of stylish decor, a relaxed atmosphere, and good music makes this place a standout among the local eateries. It offers a unique experience that's both visually appealing and...
