I arrived in Florence today, and was excited we were able to get a reservation on this rooftop bar. We were hoping to get cocktails and soak in the view before dinner. We were seated and blown away by the sight. Unfortunately, the great experience ended there. We placed our order (two cocktails and a sparkling bottle of water). The water came but 40 mins later no drinks. The server never checked in nor could we find anyone to help us. After finally locating him and explained the situation, he appeared confused and asked us wasn’t the drinks already served. Without much explanations he ran back and came to tell us it is being made (all other tables came after us were served). We tried to explained we have a dinner reservation soon and would not be able to chug a full cocktail as we didn’t anticipated this incident. This server spoke to an older gentlemen (server). Frankly, we felt dismissed. After much deliberation, my friend and I decided we should just pay for the drinks that “are coming” and leave. After asking for our bill, the same server told us to go in and pay (no bill). When we about to leave, the older gentlemen (server) appeared and handed us the €3 for our water. We headed inside to pay. I mentioned to the lady manning the register of our experience. At last, the first person to apologize. At least she was genuinely sincere in her apology. But, it was too late. Both male servers failed to apologize nor assist us. The service is terrible. I guess I’m glad they waive our €3 bill? Frankly, a free cocktail would not rectify it because the hope of a nice experience was crushed.Luckily, our dinner was wonderful. I would not recommend this bar especially when Florence is filled with great cocktail bars and restaurants.also, not the...

Disappointing. This place was recommended to me, for our first visit to Florence. I had high expectations based on the photos of the website and some reviews.

I booked a table months ahead for our group, for a special occasion.

First we were not given the table we asked for. We were seated at the very back corner of the balcony.

We had arranged to have the set Oltrarno menu for €35 per person.

The meat and cheese board was delicious, however the sandwiches were very disappointing. The bread was old and dry, and they had a thin slice of salmon on one set, and the other set had a thin slice of Turkey. That’s it. Nothing else on the sandwich. Both very dry and tasteless. The salad was very average, mainly a bowl of mixed tomatoes. Most of us couldn’t eat it or finish it.

My drink was forgotten and my husband had to go and look for the waiter to remind them. The staff never checked on us after serving all our drinks and food. They never asked us how everything was or if we needed anything else.

The price of €35 per person, for what we received, was not worth the price.

I am very disappointed as I planned this occasion a long time ahead and we all had high expectations as it was highly recommended, especially as it was our first time in Florence. I was let down and everyone did not enjoy the evening the way I wanted them to.

I wrote to the bar privately about our experience but they did not even offer the courtesy of a reply.

Don’t waste your time...

The view is very nice and I think that's what the bar is known for. We ordered 2 cocktails, which were actually almost undrinkable and costs about 15€ per drink. Of course, everyone has different tastes and preferences. We got the cocktails after about 10 minutes and a few snacks (olives, crackers, etc.) that we asked for. So far, everything was fine except for the taste of the drinks. At 10.15pm we were informed again that this was the last round as the bar was closing.

At 10.45pm we were told that they would be closing soon and we were given the bill. At the same time the snacks were taken away which were still as good as full as well as the drinks. At 10.50/55pm we were then asked to leave as they were closing. The lights on the terrace were turned off beforehand. The waiter was waiting a few meters away from our table so that we could really leave. Our drinks weren't even half empty yet. I find this anything but customer-friendly, which I find very unfortunate and outrageous. Of course we weren't the only table but there were definitely 5-6 other tables occupied, and their drinks were still half full. We were then asked to pay the bill inside. We did so and left the drinks half full. This experience was a real shame and very bad. I won't visit this rooftop bar again. Outrageous...

It’s worth it, the view is nice and the atmosphere is very good to have a nice chat or just sit drink something and relax a bit. Make your reservation in advance please and do your homework if you want to be there at sunset, check the time the Sun sets the day you go so you can book ~30min before that. They have a small menu of food because well, it’s a Bar focused place with emphasis on the view from there but…on the other hand that’s the reason I’m not leaving a better review, being a place where drinks are supposed to be the star: their Margot (their variant of a Margarita) tasted like a Pisco sour, and the Pisco Sour tasted like a Margarita o.O so you can imagine our confusion, (I think the pisco sour I prepare at home is way better lol) both were missing coldness as there was not enough ice on any of them which makes the flavor change, Also tried the local Aperol spritz and the same, not cold enough so the refreshing effect was missing. I think they still have areas of improvement on their cocktails as they do not teste the best, not because of the ingredients but because of the preparation itself. Not sure if it’s maybe they leave them waiting for too much time till they are served so by then the ice is already melted…

Booked a table here for a calm evening of cocktails and small bites. It was quite empty, but I would attribute that to the cold evening temperatures. Nevertheless, the heaters were on, and the views of the city by moonlight were lovely. The only detractor was the fact that the piazza below was occupied by a number of individuals who were blaring loud, intrusive music through a crummy portably speaker. Not Loggia's fault, but a calculated risk nonetheless. Our server was extremely attentive and entertaining, even suggesting some other full-service restaurants to explore on the south side of the city. The Loggia-crafted cocktails are top-notch. Their "improved" spritz and mule were crowd-pleasers. The food was a bit pricey but of extremely high quality. Next time I would stick to drinks and move on to a restaurant afterwards.

We were looking for somewhere to have a drink and by chance Loggia Roof Bar was close by. We were so lucky! This is a wonderful place to sit and watch the world go by. The service is excellent and the seats are arranged outdoors with a refreshing breeze. The view over the city was wonderful and would be worth the visit for this alone. The drink selection was brilliant and the cocktails were very inventive. I tried the Chiantishire which was a Bourbon cocktail served with a float of Chianti Classico. I strange combination that worked perfectly! We also had some nibbles which were also fab. Overall I would advise visiting this roof bar and say the price reflects the quality of the service, food/drink and the setting.
