The service was equally impeccable: attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. We left absolutely blown away, agreeing these were probably the best cocktails we've ever had—anywhere in the world.

We arrived just before midnight on a Wednesday in July, drawn by the promise of interesting original cocktails. We were not disappointed. We were the only clients when we arrived, so got a cozy seat in a dark corner of the patio. The staff (owners? bartenders?) who greeted us were warm and friendly and clearly proud of their joint. From their custom repertoire we sampled the Italicus Martini, with pronounced bergamot, that I could easily see making a daily staple, and the Lady Rose, whose delicate floral notes were true to the name. From their classic repertoire, we sampled the Aviation and the St Germain's Hugo. Both were expertly made, the Hugo in particularly refreshing on a warm summer night. By the time we left, the place was moderately crowded, as this appears to be where people in the area finish their evening. We recently had a two week, eight city tour of Italy. We were in Florence for three nights. We googled "best cocktail bars in Florence" and Mysterium came up. We couldn't agree more! In fact, it was the best bar of our entire trip. We went there all three nights, and recommended it to several people we met while in Florence. The atmosphere is very chic, and the drinks are unbelievably good! American Orange, a take on the manhattan was our favorite. Sebastian, co-owner, was super friendly, and made us feel so welcome. The second night we were there, Sebastian's friends were visiting and they included us in their group, sharing stories and wine. I would love to have a Mysterium in my neighborhood.
