My girlfriend and i were looking for a vegan restaurant and found out about this place and all we can say is how wonderful it is. The service was amazing and super helpful and the two workers were so pleasant to talk to. The dishes are mostly vegan which is awesome and at a super high level. The restaurant itself is really pleasant and comfortable. Personally as a non-vegan i really liked it and thought it was one of the better restaurants I’ve ever eaten at and that it doesn't feel vegan at all.
At the beginning, they brought us a type of nachos with tomato sauce, on the house which was delicious.
For an appetizer we ate a fantastic plate of vegan cheeses and sliced sausages that they prepared themselves. For a starter and main we ate the risotto and seitan on carrot cream. And for dessert, crème brûlée and cheesecake. All the dishes were perfect for sharing between two people. We also drank wine and a cocktail that were also excellent and paired nicely with our course.
Also in the middle of our course the owner visited our table and talked to us. She told us the story about the restaurant and her vision and we found our conversation with her to be lovely.
We highly recommend visiting this restaurant even if it’s out of your way, because you won’t regret it. Thank you for a...
Read moreWe came here on our last night in Florence and were so glad we did. The food is fantastic. A really lovely setting, with really comfortable seating (lacking in a lot of other vegan/veggie spots in Florence!) and a really great price point on the food despite being marketed as a more fine dining establishment.
The vegan cheese board was absolutely stunning. We've missed great cheese since being in Italy, but Ora shows there's no reason the Italians can't make brilliant vegan cheese! The cold cuts with the board too were really nice, especially the salami style one.
The gnocchi was absolutely delicious- such a bold and tasty ragu. The tagliolini was also good, a much more delicate flavor with some nice pepperiness.
Really good strudel, and a very good ladyfingers layer in the tirimisu.
The vast majority of the menu is vegan (just make the last step Ora!) so would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting...
Read moreDisappointing experience. In my 25 years of vegetarianism this was probably the worst dining experience I have had (and I have lived all over the world and dined in other cosmopolitan places around). The risotto I have had was extremely salty, to the point of inedible. You'd think that given the rather extreme prices, there would be some care shown regards the palette of tastes and presentation- but the quality of dishes is way below the prices asked. I have no problem paying for quality food, but in this establishment you'll leave hungry because the sizes are extremely small and the dishes (the ones we had tried) largely inedible. I did enjoy the gazpacho, which was a starter, but it was shockingly small. I would probably accept that easier if the mains weren't so disappointing and the size of a starter themselves. Overall I don't recommend, although I love trying out veggie kitchen worldwide, you're better off skipping...
