Our first dinner in Florence after a day of traveling and it did not disappoint. We came in around 10pm and were welcomed to sit down. They had variety of wines available you can tell they carefully picked each item on the menu. As a starter we got the caprese con bufala, very creamy and tomatoes were refreshing. As a main we opted for the peposo e fagioli, this was a braised stew that came with delightful beans, the beef was tender and had really good flavor and the beans added some great texture. We got the Podere dei Musi Bolgheri Rosso and it paired perfectly with our meal. We were hungry so to finish we got two hot paninis. Wow! We were stunned on the flavors and pairings of the cheese. We got the eggplant with taleggio cheese and the sgambato with sheep’s cheese. They were both delicious. The place is a one person show and she took her time and care to carefully craft our meal and it was delicious. Hope we can come back before we leave!

Came to lunch around 3pm (when many restaurants are closed) stumbled upon this cute restaurant and the food was what we needed after our long flight. We got a traditional salami sandwich, buffalo mozzarella salad and soup. The sandwich was really good, soup lukewarm (I think that’s traditional tho) and salad was refreshing but minimal dressing (again, this is to be expected). Service was great and traditional classic American music playing. Bright lights and preferred yellow lighting versus bright white. Would come back considering it’s close to our hotel.

Excellent place with really delicious food. The prices here are super cheap and got really good value for the money. We got many items on the menu to share because even tho they say the items are small, they are perfect size for one person. The sandwiches were excellent choices. The wines here were top notch and for a cheap price. Our server was absolutely the sweetest. Even though she had many tables to deal with and was alone, she aided us and helped us with selecting the top foods in the restaurant. One of the top places in Florence to surely try.

Based on the positive reviews, we decided to try this place.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. The order could be placed inside, the outdoor area is small but nice.

The waiting time for two bread dishes was very long in relation to the occupancy. We had a Tuscan Focaccia and a Tuscan Flat Bread. Unfortunately, the bread was very hard and toasted too long. You couldn't eat it properly because it was way too crispy and just crumbled. Accordingly the taste was not special. Compared to other restaurants in Florence, this was a negative experience. Price / performance was unfortunately poor...
