Ate here recently . Ordered spring roll vermicelli, grilled beef with lemongrass on rice and grilled bacon vermicelli. We are Asian from a major metropolitan city. We do know all kinds of authentic Asian foods. Sorry, but the food here was mid at best. The spring roll vermicelli bowl did not have the usual accompanying Vietnamese ingredients ie. Bean sprouts, basil, cilantro. There’s no hoisin sauce and the fish sauce for the vermicelli bowl and grilled beef rice dish was wayyyy too little. The rice for the grilled beef dish was mushy!!!!!! Like how can anyone… especially an Asian / Viet restaurant screw up plain white rice??????!!!!! They added to much water when cooking the rice! The grilled bacon vermicelli was good though. It’s a cafeteria style restaurant. You have to pick up your food yourself and bring it to your table. It’s very basic restaurant… it’s in the back of a bubble tea shop. Yes, we realize we are here in Florence, but we came here based on reviews. Like I mentioned earlier … in terms of authentic Vietnamese food, this is mediocre at best. The staff are friendly though when ordering your food from your own phone via QR...
Read moreFound hair in both of my dishes.... I ate here a few days ago and it was not a good experience. I ordered two dishes one appetizer shrimp summer rolls and a noodle dish. The noodle dish was less then okay, I was forcing myself to eat it. Midway through I found an eyebrow hair in the noodle dish but decided to not say anything as I was too tired for conflict. Then when I was finishing up I looked at my left over summer roll and realized there was a hair wrapped in it.... I brought it up to the waitress and she proceeded to tell me that it was not hair because it was too thin and pointed to a bookshelf with menus and cups and said it was from there. Basically telling me that it was dust. How is that better. That was when I decided to tell her about the other dish having hair as well and she at least said, "Sorry for your experience." I, in the end paid full price for sprinkles of...
Read moreI was craving pho halfway through my Italy trip and was so happy to find this place! The location was a bit tricky to spot since it shares an entrance with a small Asian grocery store and Yi Fang, but just walk through, and you'll find it at the back.
I ordered pho, spring rolls, and ca phe sua da. I wasn’t expecting much, but the pho exceeded my expectations—the broth was rich and flavourful. The spring rolls were also delicious, and the nuoc cham had great depth of flavour. The ca phe sua da was decent; I would have preferred it stronger, but I appreciated the authenticity of it being brewed with a phin filter.
Definitely recommend this spot if you’re craving pho...
