Read moreI recently visited Rivoire with high hopes of indulging in some delectable Italian treats. Sadly, my experience at this supposedly reputable establishment was nothing short of a frozen nightmare. From a rock-hard tiramisu to icy cioccolata panna, everything about my visit left me thoroughly disappointed.
Let's start with the tiramisu, a classic Italian dessert that should be a creamy delight. However, the one I received at Rivoire seemed like it had been pulled straight out of the Antarctic. It was frozen solid, rendering it impossible to enjoy any of the expected flavors and textures. It felt as though I was trying to chisel my way through a block of ice rather than savoring a luscious tiramisu.
As if that wasn't enough, I made the ill-fated decision to order two cioccolata panna drinks. Imagine my surprise when they arrived, not chilled to perfection as one might expect, but rather with a temperature resembling that of a slushie. Attempting to consume a frigid liquid through a straw was an exercise in futility. It was clear that these drinks had been carelessly prepared without any regard for the desired temperature.
One would think that a renowned establishment like Rivoire would prioritize quality and consistency in their offerings, but sadly, this was not the case. It seems as though they are more focused on their reputation rather than the actual delivery of satisfactory products and services. Such a shame, as the initial impression of Rivoire gave the impression of a genuinely promising place.
In conclusion, my experience at Rivoire was far from pleasant. The frozen tiramisu and frigid cioccolata panna were an utter letdown, leaving me questioning the competence of the staff and the quality control at this establishment. I would strongly advise anyone seeking an enjoyable dining experience to steer clear of Rivoire until they address these...
Read moreI entered this place lured by the nice cakes in the windows. I ordered one sandwich (which was fresh and tasty) and 3 affogado’s. The waiter give me an attitude speech and did not allowed me to take the sandwich to one of the standing tables inside. When coffees were ready, she put everything on a tray and lead us to one of the standing table inside. But we asked if we may stay outside and only after she rounded her eyes back, she explained very impolite to us that we’ve paid “the inside, standing tables” price, not outside tables which have a price by themselves, only if you just stay. I said then we will sit inside and ignoring me, she led us outside, where she invited us to stay at a table. We had a very under par affogado, I will completely not recommend, as had ice bites in the ice-cream and low quality coffee, so nothing special. But this non-special affogado was 11 euros. After finishing our meal an letting more than half of the drink on the table, as it was not edible, we wanted to leave but we were quickly surrounded by the personnel, shouting at us to pay “the sitting places” , no more and no less than 17.5 euros for 3 persons!!! We explained nicely that we wanted to sit inside but the lady led us outside, misleading letting us understand that will be free of charge. I really wanted to leave the place without paying but one of the friends I was with payed and they “freed” us. Very unpleasant experience with rude personnel, pity of beautiful...
