Service is super rude. I have never ever had such bad experience in a café or restaurant. We bought 3 cones of ice cream and asked for 2 coffees. When the woman asked here or take away, I asked whether it was important. She answered very aggresively that it was a different price(how obvious!!!!). I said no coffee then and started to pay €10.50. I gave a €10 bill and started to count 50 cents in coins. She looked very upset and said they wouldn’t take the coins. I asked what she meant and where in the store it was indicated that I could not pay in coins. She shouted at me how rude I was and refused to accept the coins. At this point the other assistant started to shout at us as well:”Go! Go out!” Well, I still do not understand what our sin was: not having the coffee, trying to pay 50 cents in coins, or what. They were very unfriendly from the first moment. If you have a chance, do not stop here but rather walk on another 50 meters to get your...
Read moreDisclaimer: In this review I solely rate the ice cream! The service was at a standard high level and very friendly.
I got two medium portions for 6€ each containing 3 different types of ice cream. Considering the amount of ice cream and my numerous other experiences with Italian ice cream, I'd say that it's pretty expensive.
The available tastes are a standard selection with some additional ones like 'Kinder' or cheesecake. For my personal taste the ice cream was a bit too sweet and rather 'icy' than creamy. There was an underlying taste which was pretty much the same across all of the sorts I tasted (except pistachio).
Conclusion: For the average tourist taste it might be sufficient but I'm a bit underwhelmed. I will not go there again. Only 2 days before, for example, I ate ice cream in the southern regions of Tuscany which not only tasted better but also literally was...
Read moreIf I could put 0/5 as a grade, I would. The service was not bad and neither was the waffle, though the ice cream wasn't that good(a friend of mine wasn't this merciful on the judgment). Why such a low vote then? Because the sign with the prices made you believe that the cost of the waffle would have been 3.5€ when it actually was 6.5€. The sign was surely misleading since two people whose mother tongue is italian got confused(and probably a third costumer who came after us considering the face he made at the cash desk). I sincerely doubt that it was an honest mistake since my friend explicitly asked for the price. It is basically a scam(I would guess particularly effective with the...
