Trattoria BBQ Barbecue — Restaurant in Florence

A family atmosphere immediately off a charming park. Tonight I am the only non Italian speaker, I don't think they even have an English menu. The food was excellent and the service quick. The staff outside were attentive and kissing babies and talking trash with locals about 'the football' I'm pretty happy I came and I look forward to coming back.

I wish they had draft beer but they have this Menabrea as their only beer and the server told me I didnt have to pay for it if it wasn't better than anything I can get in Germany. I paid for that beer.

I look forward to bringing back my 3 year old daughter when I next come. I think it's a great place to take kids and then you can run them out at the park in the middle if they're being jerks.

Lastly there's this sharing meat plate for like 35 euros and it's sausage, pork loin, a steak and chicken cooked under a brick. I gasped when I saw it. I'm coming back for you meat plate. I'm coming back.

Really in closing - there's a sorbetteria next door.

Great local neighborhood spot. Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. My wife and I met a couple sitting next to us in the communal table who live in the neighborhood. They told us they frequent the place, and even shared some of their Florentine steak. It was a great experience meeting and talking with them during dinner. The servers are brothers, at least some of them, I believe. The servers were very congenial, they liked to joke, spoke enough English to communicate with them. We had a great experience overall. They have a little pet dog near the front door which adds to the charm of the place. He just lies on his bed most of the time and watches people come and go. I highly recommend...

It was maybe the best possible experience to try the local cuisine here in Firenze. We stayed near the restaurant and turned out spent every evening there trying new dishes. The staff were the nicest persons in the world, being really interested in explaining every dish and recommending different combinations. We are really grateful for such a warm welcome here and will spend our time only here if we come back.
