When they first rejected us due to “no reservation”, we should have listened. Old bread? Check. “Only rare” steak that’s actually blue? Check. Server attitude when told a 5 year old won’t get his own plate? Check.

Response to owner: what other guests? There was only one other table occupied at the restaurant, and they arrived half way through our meal. Go back to my country? And which one would that be? If you don’t want to serve tourists, just be clear about it — I rather have you be honest about it then spend money on an establishment owned by someone like you. And I know the difference between rare and very rare. We got the latter for something that was supposed to be the former.

And if you think we left your place “a hurricane” I guess you could just leave a “children not welcome” sign at your door. Our table was quite tidy for one...

Loved this tiny gem! Small little Florentine restaurant with big flavors!!! Everything was homemade!! My son, who is 7, wanted the pasta with pork sauce but doesnt like 'green' pasta. I asked if they could make normal pasta and they were so accommodating! And it was delicious!! We had Florentine steak, pasta with pork sauce, pasta with truffles, fried mushrooms, a variety of cured meats, wine, 2 cokes and Tiramisu. Our bill came to 90 euro. We found it quite reasonable for what we ate considering we had spent 60 euro in Rome for much less food and no where near the same quality earlier that day! Thank you Fillipo for making our first dinner in Florence...

Ate here in July with my family while on vacation in Italy for 3 weeks. Honestly one of, if not the BEST, restaurants during our entire trip (all the way from Sicily to Venice). Food was very fresh and absolutely amazing. The owner (Filippo) was very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Prices are reasonable, with an excellent variety of food and wine to choose from. This is not in the touristy areas, but close enough that you can walk to it from any of the main squares. The Florentine steak was incredible. Eat traditional Florentine food where the locals eat. Do yourself a favor and eat here - you will be forever glad...
