I had an unfortunate experience at this place. I was treated very unfriendly and shouted by a waitress or maybe even the boss. I selected this place because of its revues etc for our family. Before we entered we still looked outside and werent unsure. It looked nice but was almost empty probably because it was early. Prices seemed fair, food good etc. Then this woman came in a friendly selling way to us and offered us to come inside, we wouldnt regret it, everything was homemade and excellent. I replied lets see, ok. Then we ordered, everything was fast and well. Then I received my Gnocci Four Cheeses and I smelled bacon or some kind of animal product. I repeated that I am vegetarian and she replied that she was sure that its vegetarian although all tried as we were 4 and as you can see from the picture it looked, smelled and tasted like ham or bacon. It looked and tasted like arrabiata and not 4 cheeses. Then she went loud and started screaming at me that this is cheese and why I behave like this. I am an hotelier and chef myself, I dont only know about food but also about how to deal with complaints. Then I said she should calm down, even the other guests were looking surprised etc. I asked my family if I said something wrong etc but of course not. She continued and I said I dont want to discuss and debate. She continued and did nothing. Normally you try to please the guest but she didnt care, she didnt even try to solve it or only listen. So although the food was good and the ambience is not bad, but the service horrible, although the 2 commis were ok, I had to give it 1 star although they deserve 0 star. Dont go there, I definitely wont repeat and cannot recommend it as I want to enjoy beautiful Firenze and its gastronomy and culture. Close to it there are other and better options. To the lady: we work in the service industry. You dont treat people like this. Its not only about food but communication. I can recommend some hospitality basic courses from my colleagues however you should think with all my respect in looking for another job and industry. As people like this have a long way and destroy the beautiful moments of other. I accepted and didnt want a discussion or a discount or similar. But to be screamed without reason.. Definitely made us go out asap from there to save our evening. Another anecdote for my upcoming...

We stumbled on this place two days ago and had a glass of wine each for seven euros and mushroom soup and roasted potatoes. Everything was excellent and well within reason for pricing. I think the wine was seven euros each.. I was interested in the steaks and talked to the female waitress there and she told us they had the best steaks in town, etc. etc. and I decided I would give them a try when it came time for a steak dinner. Today was at time and we went in to order. My wife is vegan and so it would just be me eating the steak and I explain to her that 1 kg which is 35 ounces is too much steak for me. She explained that was their minimum and they are cut by hand so she can’t guarantee how much it would weigh, but I thought we had talked clearly that 1 kg was already too much. . But as a minimum requirement anything close to that would be o at $75 Euro a Kg. I never saw the weighing.. it’s all based on trust I guess. The steak was actually almost 1.5 kg according to her which would be 3.3 lbs. Didn’t look 2 lbs. How does a person miss by a pound? Was Stevie Wonder back there cutting steaks??. So who pays for this sloppiness? You guessed it. did at $108. Not much incentive for them to cut 1KG when I pay for anything over. While ordering the steak I asked her for a recommendation for a red wine that would pair well. Keep in mind I’d had a good Chianti two days earlier for 7 Euro. Her 1st recommendation was a $750 bottle.. her 2nd was a $450 bottle. I took the menu back and said I’ll look myself. Now alarms are going off.. I start looking at the wine list and she points to a bottle of banfi that sells for $40 a bottle but they wanted $43 a 1/2 bottle. At this point I said ok. That’s on me. I should have ignored her. The wine was good. The steak was good.. the roasted potatoes was good. The $180 euro bill not so good. Maybe it was a language barrier but selling me A 75 ounce steak seems like taking advantage .. I have no control over what they cut and no way to verify it weighs what is charged. I just can’t recommend buying a steak here. Anything else, you’ll probably be happy, but I felt ripped off and she knew it..

Worst service and food I have yet to receive in all of Italy, if not my entire Europe trip. I asked for my expensive steak medium rare. I had 2 bites only. Steak comes out rare. I sent it back to be cooked a bit more - it returns well done... I didn't even eat a bite. More than 80% of the steak was uneaten. The server had the audacity to take away the meal when I complained (and immediately order a remake without my consent). All I wanted and requested was to gtfo out of the restaurant after losing my entire apetite with my bill reduced due to the fact that I ATE NOTHING from their mess up. I made it very clear at this point when she forcibly grabbed my dish for the kitchen that I WAS NOT AMUSED AND WANTED TO LEAVE and NOT get a redo. Did she listen? She re-sent the order back to the kitchen, without my consent, and had the audacity to place a newly cooked steak in front of me (proudly) to force me to the pay the entire bill. After I refused the steak, she packaged it in a takeout box. Who in their right minds would eat a 100Euro steak cold in a takeout box? And then consider that justified? I never asked for any of this. I just wanted to leave after the initial mess up. She forced me hand and then comes with the entire check after I ate almost none of the food and didn't even take her heavy-handed takeout containers at the end. I had no apetite anymore - you can't force me to accept food I no longer want after I gave many chances to fix it early on. In the end, I got the whole bill after eating nothing. I am honestly shocked the highway robbery didn't continue, and she just double the price of the redo steak too - so props to her for holding back the scammy attitude. Her attitude was dismissive and unhelpful to say the least.

I spent money to be dismissed, ridiculed, and belittled....all for NO FOOD. This place deserves 0 stars because I ate nothing worthwhile here, and the service was bottle...
