This restaurant is perfect for any occasion; a romantic date night, dinner with friends, or even with your family. I had to come back for the second time within the time span of a week because the dishes I ordered were simply delicious. For our appetiser we ordered their Bruschetta – the tomatoes were fresh and bread was perfectly crisp. We also ordered a cheese platter with onions, walnuts and honey – the perfect combination! The chef kindly brought out another appetiser, I can't remember the name but it was a delicious mushroom truffle crostini. For our main dish we had a zucchini pasta and a beef pasta. We split the pastas and they both complimented each other so perfectly. The zucchini pasta was so fresh, I love the hint of anchovies and how light it was, I could have eaten two! The beef pasta resembled a warm home cooked meal, the beef was so tender and cooked perfectly. For dessert we had a pistachio soufflé, each bite was delightful, I loved the hint of lemon and how the cake melted in my mouth. Right in the center of Florence, Ristorante La Gioia Toscana is a special place that combines modern style with classic Tuscan charm. The atmosphere is elegant but cozy, making you feel at home the moment you walk in.

The food is the real star here. We had the pleasure of being served by Alessio and Amalie, who were friendly, helpful, and made sure everything was perfect. Their service made the evening feel more like a celebration than just a dinner out.

The kitchen is led by Chef Jonny, who clearly puts his heart into every dish. His steaks are outstanding – tender, full of flavor, and cooked just right. Whether you choose a traditional Bistecca alla Fiorentina or something with a modern twist, you’re in for a treat.

The wine list is also well-chosen, with great local options that match the food perfectly.

What can I say about this amazing establishment, La Gioia! I was greeted by an amazing hostess who was extremely attentive and kind. As we were escorted to our seat, I was wowed by the architectures clean lines, neutral colors, and warm feel. The atmosphere was that of a classic Italian restaurant in Mykonos, Italy. We were seated and greeted by a lovely waitress who was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu from top to bottom. I ended up ordering the spaghetti vongole with zucchini and risotto that was amazingly rich in flavor and made me feel as though I was having a taste of Italy. Everything about this restaurant screams authenticity. I was also privileged enough to have tasted the beef filet with truffle that was cooked to perfection with truffle that was just perfect and not overpowering.
