Although this place has good ratings here, I can only describe service as a bad one. 100% NOT recommended.
I totally understand that we shouldn’t expect the level of service we have back home in the States, but still.
When you order a particular type of meat (and, believe me, we know the difference) and they bring you a completely different one, you feel that nasty feeling of being fooled. You don’t want that during your vacation, because it ruins it.
It’s not about money, it’s abour fedelity and care for your customers. Dry facts: we ordered medium well chianina (ribeye, 45€/600gr). They brought definitely different dish (it was T-bone, but 100% not chianine which was the most expensive). It was something different. When we politely asked if that was a mistake we were confidentely told that no it was chianina ribeye (dried aged). By the way, in the receipt it was stated that the meat was a t-bone as well, and the waiter responded that it’s just the computer and he cannot change that. Ha-ha-ha :)
We weren’t born this morning, guys. Just respect your customers, be ready to admit your mistake, that happens and it’s all right. What is not ok is to treat your clients like that. I respect small businesses and it’s the only reason I just silently paid for everything, btw, a lot, despite I believe the waiter called me somehow in response to my concerns. Unfortunately I don’t speak italian, so I have no proof of that.
We can endlessly provide evidence but we won’t. See the pictures and the receipt attached to...
Read moreI was headed elsewhere when I passed this cute restaurant. I was initially reluctant to try this place because of its touristy location, but started reading the extensive menu. The prices seemed reasonable and a waiter stepped outside and politely answered my questions. I decided to give it a try and so glad I did. The inside was cozy and set up well. I immediately felt comfortable m. I liked how they didn’t cram me up against another party, or into a cor and gave me a whole table to myself. I felt valued, even though I was dining alone. I started with an Aperol Spritz and a Caprese salad. The drink was generous and the salad very fresh. The mozzarella tasted home made. I liked that they put extra olive oil, balsamic and salt and pepper in the table, but honestly, this salad was perfect as is. Since to food was great I went for the spaghetti vongole (clams) which is my favorite dish. They did it perfectly. I was so surprised at the taste and quality- had to be the best I ever had. The clams were fresh, clean with no sand and there were plenty of them. This was shaping up to be an unexpected pleasure, so I treated myself to an espresso and tiramisu. I know I should have but this place was amazing. The staff were attentive and not pushy. They let me practice Italian and spoke perfect English. Food was absolutely delicious, ambiance was very comfortable for me solo, but I’d have no problems bringing friends or a date. It was that good. I highly recommend and can’t...
Read moreSo we had the same waiter as on the previous post where they said he was cranky. For us he was a savior. We wanted a free table in front but out of courtesy we went to the host to ask for it rather than just sit down. We asked and he politely accommodated however in the interim another family had sat down at the table. I told the waiter to disregard since someone else had taken the table. He sprang into action. "No sir, this table is for you." He cleared out the other family and told them the table had already been taken. I sort of felt bad, but at the same time felt a guilty pleasure. Def very thankful to the waiter. The house wine was fantastic, along with the french fries, salads and grilled egetables. We picked the place due to the front row seating and the view, however were pleasantly surprised how well reviewed it was and the great food. Potential tourist trap location, but anything but. Would highly recommend. Show compassion and the service is personable, kind...
