Great service, high quality steaks, and well prepared.

We interacted with various staff members, everyone was very friendly and spoke good English (which is nice because while I know enough Italian to order meals, my gf doesn't know any so if the staff speaks English then she gets to participate). I'm perfectly happy if they don't speak English and wouldn't rate less if they didn't, just saying for anyone reading that cares.

They have Florentine beef you can order by the kilogram (minimum 1KG), and Maremma beef which they say is more tender and strong flavored but costs more. We got a kilo of the Maremma steak and didn't regret it. The cut is quite thick and it was indeed tender and delicious. We split the kilo between two of us, had spinach on the side, and tiramisu and left happy.

They also have a local Chianti that is bottled with their label on it. Split a half liter of that and it was perfect with the steak.

It also didn't hurt that the waiter really was a great guy. Very friendly and congenial. One of those people that everyone likes. People like that really make a restaurant an experience rather than just a meal. The ladies working there are also friendly, look you in the eye, and care about the customer- not like some places where if you grew a third eye they probably...

The food was very very average for what we paid.

We didn’t have any starters and we ordered one Fiorentina steak and 3 sides, 1 glass of wine and I bottle of sparkling water. We paid €130 (£120 in GBP) euros for 2 people. This is the price I pay when I am in Mayfair We felt the waiter was quite unprofessional and condescending. He was a young gentleman with slim body and curly hair. We both felt he was really taking advantage the fact that we are tourist ( but little does he know I been to Florence 3 times already ) the the way he spoke to me he was very patronising to me like I don’t know anything. They way he treated us Probably one of the worse I have experienced. He was pushing for this one steak and he brought it out , but we didn’t like the look of it as it was too fatty , the we asked for another one the. He was like this is the last one. We he just wanted to sell this one steak for his own benefits …….. without considering another about the customers.. Very disappointing… I do not recommend. It is a trap. The next day we ate more dishes with also florentina for the half of price !!!! Crazy . Also if you check al my other reviews I’m very honest. If it’s good I would definitely recommend and praise it. If not . This is...

I rarely leave bad reviews but I feel compelled to do so in this case. The server was absolutely disinterested in serving us the moment we walked in even though they were open. She openly was texting on her phone and ignored us until we asked her to come over and begrudgingly take our order after a substantial period of time sitting around twiddling our thumbs. Minutes after ordering the very high ceiling caved in from a leak right behind me and knocked several wine bottles off high shelft, and a bottle almost hit my head (which would undoubtedly have led to a hospital trip given the height). No apology was offered! They ushered us to another table and served us. The food was mediocre. In the new seating the waitress we got was nicer, but again I got no apology, no break on the tab, and no acknowledgement of the fact that I was almost seriously injured. I should have asked to leave after ceiling came down and no one cared, but my 1.5 year old daughter was screaming from hunger and we didn't really have the time to find another restaurant nearby. I hope the restaurant owner and staff work to improve their service and concern for...

The food is ok at best. The onion soup and penne al ragu I got was very salty, nothing special. The only good dish was the Spinach gnudi. I can’t recommend the house white wine because it tastes very bland and cheap. The servers don’t pour your water and although they are kind, they are not very attentive as we did not get olive oil for our table nor did anyone ask how our meal was (which was not great). Also it’s nice for tourists that there is a menu in English, but that’s your sign it’s basically a tourist trap. The last observation I’ll make is that the bread is very hard, almost stale. I wouldn’t give this place a chance unless you want some quick salty food, but perhaps I just don’t have a Tuscan’s palate…

As a grillmaster I always doubt the quality of meat in restaurants, especially in tourist areas like Florence. However, I was not going to leave Tuscany without trying the famous “ bistecca alla fiorentina”. I could only order 800gr, and my wife made it clear that she’s not helping me this time. However, that thing fully gone before she finished her soup…. D E L I C I O U S. for dessert- Rosemary cream. Mind blowing. My wife was full with compliments for the fresh and wonderful onion soup, as well as the pasta with artichokes and olives. Excellent service. Easily one of the best restaurants we visited, and highly recommended; if we are ever back in Florence - we’ll definitely go there again.

While walking around looking for places to eat, we had come across this one and decided to make a note of it should we want to visit it later. It was definitely worth the visit when we were looking for another place to eat a few days later. The food here was very well prepared. I loved the fried zucchini flowers and the gnudi with sage and butter was also another big hit for me. I also recommend the beef stew which had a nice peppery flavor to it. The staff here are very friendly and came to check on us regularly and refreshed our plates frequently as my partner and I were sharing our meals to enjoy all the different options they had.
