Ristorante La Pietra — Restaurant in Genoa

We had a very pleasant evening at this restaurant during our recent stay in Genoa. It was close to our hotel so we decided to try out the food. We were pleasantly surprised how delicious the food was and how reasonable the prices were.

It was a very relaxing atmosphere and the waiter was so friendly and such a character. Our food was absolutely delicious and I wish I had more. I would highly recommend this restaurant. It's also a little off the beaten path so it's not crazy busy and inflated prices for tourists....

Sono stato a pranzo con tre colleghi, mercoledì 31 luglio 2018: abbiamo preso tre piatti simili di carne (una tagliata con stracciatella e pesto e due tagliate "semplici"), acqua e due caffé. Siamo entrati alle 13.05, ed alle 13.25, mentre il caffé era ancora nelle tazze, la cameriera ci ha esortato a sbrigarci, perchè le serve il tavolo libero. Noi sostanzialmente la ignoriamo, vista la richiesta alquanto insolita, e dopo un paio di minuti si ripresenta richiedendoci di liberare il tavolo. SIAMO STATI SEDUTI VENTICINQUE MINUTI IN TUTTO. A quel punto ci alziamo, visibilmente seccati dal trattamento estremamente scortese, ma ce ne saremmo andati in silenzio se la cameriera non avesse continuato ad argomentare le sue motivazioni ("mi dicono di fare così", in sostanza). Al quel punto i toni si sono scaldati, è intervenuta la titolare e si è scusata con una gentilezza che puzzava di falsità lontano un miglio; ci ha anche fatto un po' di sconto, è vero, ma per come ci hanno trattato doveva come minimo offrircelo, il pranzo. Peraltro, la stessa titolare, un attimo prima aveva chiesto ad un'altra cameriera "guarda un po' perché al tavolo 11 non stanno mangiando", a sotto-intendere che è loro prassi mettere fretta agli avventori. Il cibo, tra l'altro, era di qualità al di sotto della media: la tagliata era molto piccola (non copriva la superficie di un hamburger) e la carne era in molti punti troppo dura per essere masticata.

July 2024 - six adults each ordered a different dish, and sampled each others'. Rarely, do I pause after the first bite with the thought that "Hey, this is reallllllly good!" but that was true for five of the six (didn't try the sixth). In addition, had a cool breeze in the outdoor seating after a 37C day. Small place, but well kept, and excellent service. All around definitely 5 stars. Eccellente!
