Pesto per Amore Ravecca — Restaurant in Genoa

I was hoping for a quick snack. After all, how long does it take to mix pesto with pasta? Oh, how wrong I was. Just taking the order took a good 5 minutes. And that's just the beginning. We waited only 27 minutes for two portions of pesto (measured by the time on the bill). And it wasn't busy at all. In the meantime, maybe three customers came in. They either cook the pasta specially for each person, or maybe they even make pesto especially for you. The staff seemed to be completely unbothered by this situation, probably it’s normal.The food is not spectacular as well, but I wasn’t hoping for much. In any case, if you're looking for something quick, I don't recommend it.

Also, the person on the picture was busy, but not in any way involved in solving the problems, as I understand rearranging price tags on the items is not improving the situation. There was other employee in the kitchen area, working alone...

Gisteren tijdens ons verblijf in Genova hier een hapje gegeten. Wij dachten snelle hap en zitplaats erg fijn, helaas bleek dit anders. Nadat wij hadden besteld & betaald. werd ons verteld dat wij geen gebruik mochten maken van de zitplaatsen, dit stond nergens aangegeven. Er stond juist een bord met over 10 meter zitplaatsen als je hier je eten besteld. Daarnaast waren de medewerkers niet vriendelijk en het woord service kennen ze hier niet. Helaas kan je bij Service geen 0 sterren geven want dit was zwaar ondermaats en niet gastvrij / klantvriendelijk. Door dit voorval ook niet fijn meer gezeten bij deze tent, heel gehaast onze pasta's opgegeten en gegaan. De Pasta was oke maar er zijn zeker lekkere Pasta's te krijgen in Genova met een betere service (TIP: Cavour 21 aan de haven, wel even reserveren erg populaire tent en goedkoop) Mijn aanbevelingen: hier niet verwachten dat je als toerist goed word geholpen voor een snelle take away hap kun je hier prima iets halen. Maar voor gezellig zitten kun je beter...

10/10 experience! The staff was so nice. They did their best to communicate with us and served us with the biggest smiles. I came with friends and we really felt the « Italian » vibe of the restaurant too. The food was amazing!! The pesto was so good I bought some to take back home. Definitely recommend. The price...
