A Must-Visit Dining Experience in Lucca This new restaurant is highly recommended. We chose to dine indoors in a lovely room boasting a beautifully decorated ceiling. Outdoor seating is also available, perfect for milder days. Our server, Rapose, greeted us warmly and was incredibly pleasant and accommodating throughout our meal. Upon arrival, we were served a delightful and interesting Alisea frizzante water. We started with a perfectly spiced beef carpaccio with black truffles and a caprese salad featuring excellent burrata. Both dishes were bursting with flavor. For our main courses, we enjoyed carbonara pasta with truffles and a perfectly cooked steak filet. Each dish was beautifully presented. The wine list is impressive; we particularly enjoyed the Prosecco Nature. For dessert, we savored a very tasty creme brulee. A delightful surprise was the complimentary meringue – crunchy on the outside with a creamy interior. Don't walk, run to try this restaurant – you won't be disappointed! Nice place and friendly good service. Food was fair. Risotto was under cooked (crunchy rice) with nice flavor and salmon was dry. Salmon is not a local fish and my expectations were low, but my experience was lower. Maybe this was a one time mistake with two dishes . This happens in the best of restaurants , but two of four dishes being off makes me wonder. Waiter did offer to get something else. I have been to Lucca many times for weeks and months straight over 40 years, I believe you can do much better elaewhere. I wonder about the reviewers who say this is the best meal thwy had in Italy or even Lucca. My observation was this place attracts tourists much more...

Fair price, great food and outstanding service. Avoid the scams of the crowded touristic areas by taking some more steps. We had lunch and the decided to come back to dinner to explore more of the menu. We almost did not enter as it seemed an upscale place but the prices are in the same level of the touristic traps. Authentic food, clearly prepared with care and love. My kids are regretting we are leaving Lucca in the morning so we will not have a chance to come come...
