Arrived at 18.40 approx asked for table for 1 person , there were one or two small tables occupied for aperitivi, all other tables free. Was given a table wedged at the back end of the resturant next to the toilet and the kitchen completely from staff serving and any nice atmosphere! Asked if it was possible to sit out the front at a small table - was told no is for apertivo only!! . No one came to ask for the order. A waitress was running up and down the stairs the whole time taking new guests and bread upstairs. Eventually another waiter passed with dirty plates so asked if I could order. Delicious pasta. Was never offered bread or water. Water glass remained empty. When finished had to ask the waitress running past all the time, eventually another man came and asked if I wanted desert. I asked why there was no bread - he said bread doesn’t come with pasta . There are pics with bread and pasta dishes here ? I ordered delicious lemon meringue, table was cleared when tart came. Was left with no serviette and empty glass still , not asked if I wanted water or another drink. Other people arriving and being escorted upstairs , the owner passed didn’t turn her head let alone acknowledge a customer dining or ask if everything was ok. Went the front to pay ( all tables in front that were for apertivi empty!) was almost charged for coffee that not only wasn’t ordered wasn’t even offered. Definately did not feel welcome ( not like in international cities !) more like a favour to be there shoved in the back corner whilst preparing for more customers to come and attending to others upstairs. The staff were too busy to take care , one person was not interesting and it was time to prepare for the rush !. We are local and would go often but not to feel like this. What a shame . It’s a pity as the food is great, their other shop has...

I was one of the party of three who visited earlier today to eat at the restaurant and having seen the response, I think it's only fair to give a completely honest account, as I believe whoever responded did not hear an accurate order of events.
As we entered the bistro we were greeted very pleasantly by a lady, who I can only assume was the manager. She kindly responded to our queries and then handed us to one of her waiters.
This gentleman ushered us up the stairs into a very dark tight room with no windows. When we asked if we could change the spot within a completely empty upper floor or even to change with the adjacent chairs he rudely refused saying the other table was for 4 people not three as was our case. It was strange as no alternatives were offered. However, when we enquired about the room adjacent with a window he rudely said we could take a seat across the same dark room, but when we asked about swapping one chair with the adjacent table again refused and was very rude with us. We weren't told about a reserved table nor asked why we didn't like the original table...anyone who sees the table had three chairs but wasn't comfortable for three adult men. If we had been asked we would have happily sat downstairs.
Now I didn't expect the manager to run after us, but the point of the very accurate poor services received was to hope they could listen and improve. It doesn't look like they want to So guys even if its gluten free try and avoid And dear bistro please take this as constructive feedback...we respectfully left and even thanked you for your poor...
Read moreTerrible experience. Gave us the wrong information regarding prices and then when paying, showed 0 flexibility to understand the situation. Food below average. The worst employees I have ever met.
(Ps: no need to reply in an ironic tone, just like you do to all other costumers that have bad things to say about the restaurant... For future clients: check the negative reviews and respective answers, I should have checked before going)
I couldn't answer to the restaurant so I edited this post. In the menu says "risotto 18€ (min 2 pp)" and I asked the waitress whether the "min 2 pp" means that at least two people have to order it or whether that plate would be at least for two people, in the sense that it would be a big portion. It was said that it would be one dose for both and then my boyfriend asked again just to make just "so 1 risotto is for both of us" to what the waitress said yes. I have worked in a restaurant and I know how it feels to read negative reviews but instead of answering them like you do, try to avoid them at the restaurant. I can garantee that if your staff was good, half the complains wouldn't exist. If it was just the price situation, it would have been one thing. But I felt disrespected and poorly treated and that, I shouldn't feel in any restaurant. It was the first time I was treated like this in a restaurant so I felt the need to warn future costumers. The good reviews I give on the place with kind words, tips and positive reviews on the compliment book. The fact this was the first time I bothered to criticize a restaurant, even after working in one, tells a...
