Had a really bad experience in this restaurant. My wife and I were on our holiday in Europe from Australia 🇦🇺.
Our holiday was going great and we had just arrived in Milan from Swiss. So I tried searching up the best Pizza in Milan and I decided that this place looks good from the reviews and pictures (how wrong was I).
I called up and booked the earliest reservation time available which was at the opening of the restaurant around 7:30pm. Arrived 15 minutes early and waited outside everyone in line was let in with no hesitation and then it was our turn. The staff member checking vaccines was rude to us and dismissive as she was not willing to accept our international covid vaccine certificates. They were not willing to engage us at all. We just stood there while everyone else was sat at a table. (Background, my wife wears the hijab 🧕 and we are in our mid 20s).
I approached another staff member who looked at our covid certificates and went spoke to the original person and spoke in Italian then came back and said follow me and we were sat at one of the dining tables. Mind you at this stage I’m hangry and annoyed but looking forward to tasting a good Italian pizza.
We were sat for 30 minutes and not even approached for drinks orders. Few more minutes pass by and the table next to us who arrived after us and were sat down after us receive their food. I’m really annoyed now so I call on one of the waiters nicely and ask if we can order and she goes this isn’t my job someone else will come to you guys. Now we were contemplating leaving but we had committed too long and it was raining outside too so we wanted to just have our pizza. We waited longer and then noticed another table who was sat after us receiving their food too all while we were waiting to give our orders or order a drink at least.
Anyways at this stage we felt humiliated and very hurt so we decided to wear our coats and leave. As we were walking out one of the staff members approached us and when we walked outside he started yelling in Italian. Not knowing what he was saying we just walked off.
This was first night in Milan Italy. Fortunately, the rest of our trip was amazing and we had many tasting pizzas but not at this location.

Read morePizzas are good? I mean, they are ok? At best. The crust is all dough, only the middle parts have cheese which don't even satisfy at all. As we were eating, the staff kept STARING at us, as though they wanted us to leave as soon as possible. Constantly eyeing our dishes, approaching a FULL coffee to grab it, giving us bad looks all around. I mean we were literally inches away from being pushed out physically by these guys. For what? For reserving a table? And trying to eat? Even though we ordered dessert, they were still pushy, as though we've been sitting there chatting all night long wasting time. PLUS! VERY IMPORTANTE DETAIL! DO NOT LET THEM PICK UP YOUR KNIVES AND FORKS, when they took all our silverware, prepping the next dish to come, we thought it was quite thoughtful, BUT, this was a trick and we were literally not told that they'd be charging us an extra 2 euros. That's right! They took our perfectly fine fork away and brought another one just to charge us this sh6t. Truthfully, anywhere else would have been better to eat. I only came here because some great people living around suggested it, but alas, a huge regret. Another thing, we had many big meals before today and never felt too full, or disturbed; here, we could not breathe or digest the food whatsoever. We had to walk the night as we were practically kicked out of our own two silverware dinner, reserved, just to try and digest this fatty and not at all delicious pizza, that I will never be tasting again (hopefully).
edit: I added the deep fried pizza where you can see store bought mozarella and some tomato sauce thrown...
Read moreDa Zero is an absolute must-visit for anyone looking to experience true Neapolitan pizza in Milan! From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu highlights local products from the Campania region, and the freshness of the ingredients is evident in every bite. The pizza dough is thin and soft, with beautifully puffed, slightly crispy edges — a true masterpiece of craftsmanship. Especially the traditional-style pizzas perfectly capture the authentic flavors of Southern Italy.
The pizza I tried was flawless in both ingredient quality and cooking technique; the tomato sauce was fresh and aromatic, and the mozzarella was melted just right. The service was quick and very courteous, with the staff providing detailed explanations about the menu to help with our choices.
Important to know: Since Da Zero is extremely popular, making a reservation is highly recommended. Especially during the evenings and weekends, it gets very busy. Without a reservation, you might face a long wait or even struggle to find a table.
All in all, Da Zero offers a top-notch experience both in terms of taste and service — a place I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for excellent...
