Used by local office workers for lunch, we came across this little gem on holiday and the lovely friendly owners (from Napoli) gave us a very warm welcome, describing to us each of the dishes on offer. We had the tuna pasta salad. Great coffee too. Tram stop to and from Centrale FS is nearby. Also some older architecture in this corner of Milan.

Esperienza Eccezionale al Dolceamaro! Sono rimasto estremamente colpito dall'esperienza straordinaria che ho vissuto al bar "Dolceamaro". Il personale è eccezionale, tanto bravo quanto accogliente, i titolari sono semplicemente fantastici. Sin dal momento in cui sono entrato, mi sono sentito benvenuto e coccolato. Ho avuto il piacere di gustare uno dei piatti deliziosi offerti dal bar: un uovo strapazzato con Bacon. Devo dire che è stato un vero tripudio di sapori e profumi! La qualità degli ingredienti e la cura nella preparazione si sono distinti, regalandomi una pausa pranzo fantastica. Il Dolceamaro è senza dubbio un luogo che consiglio a tutti coloro che desiderano trascorrere momenti piacevoli in un'atmosfera accogliente, familiare e con piatti buonissimi. Non vedo l'ora di tornarci per assaporare altre prelibatezze e godermi ancora una volta l'ospitalità straordinaria di questo locale. Grazie al personale e ai titolari del Dolceamaro per aver reso la mia visita così speciale.

Very busy small cafe. Great staff and amazing service. Because its so busy they don’t clean tables as quick. But the service is very quick. Amazing drinks and pastries. We had the freshly squeezed orange juice, iced frappe, hot chocolate and croissant.

My wife and I ate breakfast the last two mornings, and both were wonderful. I would highly recommend the avocado toast! The last morning was very special too. We asked for French Toast and at first were told they didn't have it available. Then our host told us the chef would prepare it special for my wife. Turns out this was their first time to serve it to customers. It reminded us of French Toast at home in Texas. Be sure and ask for a dollop of whip creme and the homemade Carmel sauce. Wonderful experience! Best breakfast we've had in Italy (more substantial options than pastries like omelets, avocado toast, etc., very generous portions). Great coffee. The server was incredibly friendly and kind, and was nice enough to call us a taxi since I couldn't get freenow to work. Would definitely recommend and will try to come back next time I...

Nice, traditional coffee shop. Hand-pulled vs electric espresso machines. The cappucino is very good, maybe not the best in the world but that's a pretty high bar.
