California Bakery — Restaurant in Milan

Avoid it.

First time we tried it, we visited as a group and we had to wait more than 50 minutes for 8 espressos and 2 crepes (while we were the only customers). We still wanted to give it a second chance, as this could happen on a bad day. Or that's what we thought.

Last time we tried it, the X employee started piling up the chairs 30' before closing time and while we were still eating and drinking what we had ordered. I find it completely fair that they want to close at 19:00, but piling up and moving furniture resulting in making unbearable noises while people are still inside is not acceptable.

Their food/snacks are ok, but prices are easily comparable to those of a restaurant and they are definitely too expensive for what it is!

As you are in Italy, you can definitely find a better place to enjoy breakfast/snacks/brunch...

Cute spot to sit for a coffee and a delicious slice of cake. The waiter was super kind and gave us a brownie to taste since we couldn't decide what to choose and an extra piece of vegan almond carrot cake because it was the last bit. I really loved the vegan almond carrot cake. It was light and tasty so I would recommend it. The brownie with pecan on the other hand was way too sweet for me and not that strong in chocolate taste. Definitely want to try more from the menu sinds it was also not...

I visited today and ordered the carrot cheesecake, and it was absolutely amazing! The cake was incredibly fresh and delicious, with a perfect balance of flavors. The portion size was generous—so much so that I ended up ordering an americano after finishing my cappuccino just to savor the last bites.
