The Icecream tastes really good but the customer service and especially how the staff is trained to behave around customers is very bad. The staff has a high temper and is not afraid of showing it, in fact they forget that they are representing a company.
Let me explain, one of my friends got double charged for their icecream. Upon explaining to the staff one of them wanted to solve the problem and return that measly ā¬2.50 but then the other who charged my friend double created a scene, refusing to accept the situation. In the meantime there is new customers waiting to be served (i counted the amount of customers who left, it was approx. 8)
As a matter of fact things got out of hand and the staff member started saying rude things to my friend. Another friend of mine tried talking sense into this person and said "please don't speak to a girl like that" meanwhile the staff member was drifting forward aggressively, and had to be stopped by one of his co-workers. We and other customers were shocked by his attempt to attack my friend and we were lucky for the third co-worker to get in between. The problem started where my friend exclaimed that she took a picture of him and that she will write on the internet about what happened today. After he attempted to attack my friend he threatened to call the police (they were in their right to do so coz the picture was taken in private premises) and thus we deleted the pictures. Out of the three staff members, two of them became increasingly aggressive. The girl ran out and shouted something in italian AFTER we deleted the pictures. We never got the money back but it was not about the money anymore, the money only played a role in the first 30 seconds of the conversation. After it was about respect and manners.
A few days after i went with my classmates, coz regardless of the incident the icecream is good. And this time the two staff members that were out of line were not there. The one that stopped them both and tried to control the situation was still there. He whispered something to a new staff member that i had never seen before. And this person was also helping me with my icecream. I pointed at my icecream and he kept going towards the wrong box. Note, he did not scoop any icecream yet, and as i said for the 2nd time "no not that one but the one next to it" HE SLAMMED THE COUNTER and scooped my icecream. Me and my classmates were shocked.
As i said before the company is amazing, the icecream is amazing but the staff is lacking professionalism. I think they are confusing their working space with a market area, which i believe is even more friendly. As much as Milano is known for its temper, i do not think it should be tolerated. We asked for customer service and in the end we didnt even get treated as a normal human being should be treated. So yea a huge gap.
I definitely suggest the icecream from this company but maybe try another branch. I feel sorry for...

In Milano there are many gelaterie, however, not ALL will be as amazing as this one; especially since most of them are just full of tourist in the downtown area. This little gem hidden right by the Cadorna station is so convenient and easy to get to. The staff are very nice and the spot itself is very cozy. All you can see, drink and eat is CHOCOLAT! The only downside to it is that it is always PACKED, especially on a sunny, hot, day.
I love their gelato, it's so creamy and delicious. Each time they, always have unique flavors like ricotta and pear, chocolate orange, and so on! I originally placed on a container on top of the counter as many ice cream shops have them and he got upset that I did when 1. He could have informed me and 2. He could have reacted differently. There were about 10 other spoons in there and when I assumed they were new after what occurred, I still offered to pay for any loss of the 10 plastic spoons and the fact heād need to clean the container.
