CUCCA — Restaurant in Milan

We decided to have breakfast on-site, and it turned out to be a major mistake. We ordered sandwiches, juices, coffee, and yogurt. It took them a whopping 40 minutes to serve us because, surprise, they didn't have the sandwiches on hand! Instead of admitting this, they waited for someone else to fetch them from another location. Common sense dictates that if something isn't available, don't sell it!

Our service was courtesy of a very thin, brunette woman, who seemed to think she was a model but delivered a dreadful experience. Arrogant, rude, and downright nasty, she crossed all boundaries. To top it off, when it came time to pay, she tossed my card on the counter. Clearly, they need staff that understands the basics of customer service.

Despite the subpar service, I must acknowledge that the sandwiches and coffee were good. However, the yogurt with cereal was nothing short of a joke.

In conclusion, if you're keen on avoiding terrible treatment, I would strongly recommend finding another...

The service was really bad. The sandwiches were good, average food for Milan. We asked for two glasses of still water, they never came out. I asked for a latte macchiato (4€) and this is what I got. In an italian restaurant… There was no sugar offered or on out table, we just got some from another table ourselves. Indeed, the coffee did not neer it, but I feel like a self-respectable restaurant/cafe would still ask about it. I do not know if this is how the servers act in general or if it was a problem that we were foreigners/ tourists, but we were treated quite bad.

Coffee was below average, quite bad actually.

Che in centro a Milano ci si possa aspettare prezzi fuori da ogni logica, può starci. Che l'ambiente, carino ma piccolino, comporti qualche disservizio in orario di punta, mi sembra tollerabile. Quello che però non capisco è la presa in giro sul piatto che ho preso: tal "insalatona con tonno di Cetara" a soli 15 euro. Ci sono un po' di cose da dire:

1. la parola "insalatTONA" presuppone un minimo di quantità. È ovvio che se mi arriva un piatto modesto con un pugnetto di lattuga della busta dell'esselunga, mi vien da dire che più che a Milano, sembra di essere a Genova (per buona pace degli stereotipi sulle braccine corte)
2. il pomodoro. Va bene l'innovazione, ma addirittura affettarlo per presentare 4, dico 4 dischetti sottili di pomodoro a contorno della lattuga dell'esselunga, può essere troppo d'avanguardia per i gusti di una clientela che vorrebbe saziarsi, più che capire la gastronomia del nuovo millennio.
3. il famoso tonno di Cetara. Metto le mani avanti, non essendo esperto forse quella scritta rossa nella lavagnetta con tanto di scritta "novità!" mi ha tratto in inganno. Le mie papille gustative non hanno sentito la differenza tra questo tonno e quello della scatoletta del Lidl. Rimane però il dubbio che sia io a non capirvi. Riassumendo: avrei preferito leggere "insalata verde con un po' di tonno", e davanti al vostro prezzo, non avrei esitato a scegliere altro. Come qualsiasi altro cliente, viste le facce di chi riceveva lo stesso piatto. Ps: ma che "novità" sarebbe un'insalatona...
