If you're looking for a fantastic and authentic Italian dining experience in Milan, look no further than this restaurant. As a tourist, I appreciate that they offer a menu in English, making it easy to navigate the delicious choices.
But it's not just the language that sets this restaurant apart - the service is exceptional. Our waiter was incredibly attentive, making suggestions that were nothing short of exquisite. From the moment we sat down, we felt welcomed and taken care of.
And the food! Oh, the food. The pasta was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of sauce and seasoning. And the cottolette? Simply delicious - I could have eaten two more! The quality of the ingredients really shines through in every bite.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is also a treat. The decoration creates a rustic and cozy ambiance, transporting you to the heart of Italy. It's a perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring Milan.
Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for an authentic Italian dining experience in Milan. From the attentive service to the delicious food and charming atmosphere,...
Read moreThe entrance isn’t so noticeable because their door is closed instead of open. But once you stepped in, you can feel it’s home. The must try item must be the spaghetti with shrimps. Wine is just 16€ and it’s good to pair with any food. One of the recommendations from the waiter is the side dish potatoes. I have to say it’s more like chips because they fried them with olive oil, pepper and thyme(do try it if you like chips). It’s not expensive at all and you can have it together with the main course. I have read other comments and tried the cotoletta alla milanese which is the veal cutlet. It’s slightly fat but super good. Nothing is really expensive here. If you have a family, I am sure you would enjoy this place for family dinner because it made you feel home. The waiter is also friendly to give me some biscotti as dessert. The dining experience here can be compared with other high end...
Read moreReally awesome restaurant!!! Very reasonable prices! Would definitely recommend/ go again. Waiter and host spoke good English and had translations on the menu
Cool interior. Classic northern Italian cellar vibes (lighting in front room could be better).
Great food, not the best we've had but overall really good 9/10. We got the mushroom risotto and potatoes, which were both spectacular and paired well together. The bread was solid but nothing special. Tiramisu was really good, boozy and not much cake/ fingers but delicious!l and more traditional than we are used to. Had a lot of offerings for wine including a fairly extensive and more pricey section and also 6 regional more affordable bottles (15-20€). We got a solid Merlot blend for €19.
Overall we loved it! Much better Il Taverno up the road, and overall good quality per $...
