Extremely Disappointing Experience at El Beverin Restaurant
On 01.04.2025 at 20:00, my family and I visited El Beverin for dinner, but unfortunately, we had a very negative experience. The behavior of the waiter, a slim, dark-haired young man standing in the middle of the restaurant, was completely unacceptable.
He was indifferent and rude while taking our orders, answering our questions reluctantly and in a harsh tone. At times, he completely ignored us. To make matters worse, he mocked our English while we were ordering, which made us feel extremely uncomfortable. This forced us to leave the restaurant without ordering any food. Despite this, we were still charged 4 euros for a bottle of water that we did not even consume.
This experience severely damaged our trust in the restaurant. It is clear that such behavior is not aligned with customer satisfaction or the professional standards expected in the hospitality industry.
I would strongly recommend that the management conduct a thorough investigation and take appropriate action regarding the behavior of this staff member. Otherwise, I will be reporting this issue to various official authorities, including the Italian Competition and Market Authority (AGCM), the European Consumer Centre (ECC Italy), local municipality and chamber of commerce, tourism complaint hotlines, and online review platforms such as Google Reviews, Yelp, and TripAdvisor.
I hope the management values customer satisfaction and takes this matter seriously. I expect a written response regarding the steps taken to...
Read moreEl Beverin is a cozy spot in Milan that’s perfect for a casual meal or drinks with friends. Tucked away in a lively area, it offers a relaxed atmosphere with a mix of rustic charm and a touch of modern flair. The outdoor seating is especially nice, making it a great place to soak in the city’s energy.
The menu is diverse, with something for everyone. The pizzas are definitely a highlight—thin, crispy, and topped with fresh, flavorful ingredients. The pasta dishes, while tasty, felt slightly underwhelming compared to the standout pizzas. The drink selection, however, is fantastic, with plenty of cocktails and wines to choose from.
The staff are friendly and attentive, adding a warm touch to the experience. They’re quick to offer recommendations and make you feel at home, even during busy hours.
While El Beverin doesn’t aim to be a fine dining destination, it delivers on good food, great drinks, and an inviting atmosphere. It’s an ideal spot for a laid-back evening, though a few minor tweaks could elevate it even further. A solid...
Read moreDisappointing Experience – Poor Service and Rude Management I had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant on my last evening in Milan. I placed my order clearly and even double-checked it with the waiter, yet I was brought the wrong dish — the very one I had specifically asked about and declined. When I pointed out the mistake, I was told “it’s already cooked” and that I’d have to pay for both meals if I wanted to change it.
I asked to speak with the manager. Instead of coming to the table, he refused to even look in our direction, simply telling the waiter “no change” and declining to address the issue directly. It was incredibly unprofessional and disappointing.
To make things worse, we later found out our pizza order had been forgotten entirely, and despite asking for napkins four times, they never brought any.
This was supposed to be a relaxing final dinner in Milan, but the rude attitude and poor service ruined the experience. With so many wonderful places to eat in the city, I absolutely do not...
