Il Bistrot della Pesa — Restaurant in Milan

Its good, really really good. But...also quite expensive - if it was around 25% less this would be an unqualified Excellent. It's all traditional milanese cuisine - with some excellent risotto to boot - especially the risotto al salata (think risotto turned crispy/crunchy polo-style). Add in a small but excellent selection of wine, and it's all good ('cept for the prices, but I already said that)

Lovely junior spot around the corner from Antica Rattoria della Pesa. Food is superb, ossobucco, steak tartRe, steak with balsamic all were outstanding and dinner for 3 with a bottle of cheaper local wine was Euro 169 so how can yo beat great Milanese favorites? You can't! Only problem was they 'lost' our reservation to the main restaurant when a big party booked. Oh, and the 'sort of a trifle' dessert was...

TROPPO CARO RISPETTO A QUALITÀ E QUANTITÀ - Se pensate di venire a mangiare qua, vi suggerisco subito di cercare un ottimo "bistrot" in via Moscova: spenderete uguale ma mangerete meglio.

Abbiamo trovato questo posto cercando tra quelli suggeriti da Gambero Rosso e abbiamo trovato l'Antica Trattoria della Pesa. Il locale ha anche un bistrot e abbiamo scelto quest'ultimo, pensando fosse più sobrio in termini di location, piatti e prezzi. In realtà è come la trattoria, tant'è che pure il menù è lo stesso della trattoria.

I piatti sono nella media di una qualunque trattoria, a parte l'antipasto misto di salumi risicato e discutibile. Ma sono i prezzi da chef stellato che c'hanno lasciato l'amaro in bocca (allego lo scontrino). Per quello che ho mangiato non avrei speso più di 100€! E non vale che il locale sia in centro a Milano: come indicato all'inizio, la sera successiva abbiamo mangiato in un vero bistrot: cibo ottimo, locale elegante e prezzo onesto.

In media 3 stelle: il cibo è nella media; il servizio normale (a parte qualche suggerimento ad orinare altri piatti, un po' insistente); locale pulito e sobrio, magari toglierei le candele dal tavolo. Do' due stelle perché il rapporto qualità/prezzo ha inciso molto sulla...
