If you’re vegan and visiting Milan, if you miss out on going here, then you’re missing out on a key cultural experience, in my opinion. This is incredible vegan dining you MUST experience if you’re in Milan. A true hidden gem. I’m talking that this is the kind of place that will leave you with memories. I have travelled the entire world eating at vegan restaurants everywhere, and I can say with confidence that this quiet unassuming little place is the absolute favorite vegan restaurant I have ever been at, on any continent. I know that is a big statement but once you eat here you’ll understand why. You can always tell when for somebody making food is a true art and love, as opposed to just a business, and that is the case here for the founder and chef Paolo. If you’ve been vegan for a long time, and eaten everywhere… you know there are very few things where as soon as you bite into them your eyebrows raise up and you just say WOW. But that is exactly the experience here. There is something very special in the food, and it leaves you with beautiful memories. I actually woke up each day looking forward to what the new lasagna of the day will be. Everything is made fresh daily, nothing refrigerated overnight. I really wanted to take pictures of the food but was too enthralled in the experience and forgot. The almost 1,000+ 5 star reviews at the other location in lake Como I think says everything thats needed. Would give it 10 stars if I could. Really hope this incredible hidden gem will bring as much joy to you as...

Lughino in Milan is a culinary gem that every food enthusiast must experience. I've dined here three times in the past three days since arriving in Milan, and each visit has been an exquisite journey into the heart of Italian cuisine. Chef Paolo's commitment to simple yet savory recipes, inspired by the organic offerings of Lake Como, transforms dining into a five-star culinary affair reminiscent of Michelle's finest.

The dishes at Lughino are a testament to Chef Paolo's dedication to organic cooking and healthier living. Unlike mass-produced fare found elsewhere, every plate here is crafted with meticulous care, bursting with flavors that speak of tradition and quality ingredients. From the first bite, you can taste the difference – each ingredient chosen for its freshness and authenticity.

Nakayla, our server, ensured that every aspect of our dining experience was nothing short of royal treatment. Her knowledge and passion for the menu elevated our meal, making us feel truly pampered.

A visit to Lughino not only satisfies your taste buds but also elevates your appreciation for genuine Italian cuisine and a healthier approach to dining. If you cherish good food and value the essence of organic cooking, Lughino is an absolute must when in Milan. Be warned though – after dining here, you may find it hard to settle for anything less than exceptional. I will be back soon from Seattle to...

Fresh and seasonal balanced flavours Nutritious ingredients Well cooked

You can sense they value and respect the food they serve, so they respect you.

Although They’re focused on the food, the service is also well prepared and managed.

If you want to eat well, feel satisfied but not heavy, and eventually digest well, you must come here.

Here they do healthy cuisine and let people decide if they like it or not

As opposed to sell the IDEA of healthy cuisine , trying to pull people in the restaurant

It may seem useless philosophy, but the intent is everything.

PS Let’s always remember that the body is made of digested food. What gets digested and How well it is digested, determines how well the body functions (body includes also the mind). Look at how lively your body is the morning after you dine out. That will tell the quality of the food but also how appropriate was the food and its quantity . When first burb arrives, that’s a signal: the digestion will be easy if we stop eating. The second burb: digestion will be slow, Wait longer before going to bed. The third: you’ll find out...

Service was lovely, great set of staff working there. Lughino starter (Russian salad, vegetable quiche and chickling). The quiche was especially delicious. You don’t have to ask for bread, they bring it over. Escarole lasagne was lovely, nice portion. We ordered the tomato spaghetti (couldn’t have the cheese as it had cashews in it and I’m allergic, but my partner said it was good). It needs something else, it’s not got enough spice or basil even though it’s meant to be an ingredient on the menu. It’s still tasty but just feel it could be elevated a bit further with those extras being a bit more present in the dish. Tiramisu was good, tasted actually of coffee, corn and soy pie with plum was great as well and a whole bottle of Tuscan white wine. Lovey service, very friendly. Vegan fine dining at its best :)

Really cute place, they grow all of the veg and herbs themselves, which isn’t shouted about enough! I had the spaghetti starter and gnocchi as a main to share and we split a tiramisu for dessert. The food was really nice and prices were great for the portions! The waiters were really patient with our limited Italian too, which is not always the case in Milan! The drinks were lovely too and both the inside and outside of the restaurant were nicely decorated and clean. We did get bitten by mosquitoes sitting outside though so put some repellent on if you sit outside in August (that’s true of most of Milan this time of year though!) Would absolutely recommend coming here!
