Joe's American Smashburger - Mercato Centrale Milano — Restaurant in Milan

The central market of Milano Centrale has a quite cool cyberpunk atmosphere. @ Joe's BBQ you can enjoy burgers and other classic "fast food" products but with a slightly higher quality.

The real problem is the price, which is absolutely insane for a burger of that size, with no table service.

I choose a 13 euro product, and it is served on a paper base placed over a metallic tray. French fries are not included and it cost extra 5 euros for them. Do not even mention for the cheesecake, which was good taste but a small slice cost the utopic price of 7 euros!

Staff are ok, but not very friendly to be honest. I kindly asked a bigger slice for that price and was no response from their side... ( since they cut it in front of you from the main whole cake )

All the items they are selling are overpriced... I wouldn't recommend to eat here if you are hungry, but only if you wanna enjoy the...

I like pastrami sandwich a lot, tasted it around the world, and was delighted to find it at Joe’s. The meat is great, the bread, however, been mediocre recently.

Two times in two months (July and August ‘22, see photos) the Joe’s Ptazesco Pastrami sandwich came with thick white bread instead of rye or whole grain (I recall rye/whole was served back in March ‘22).

That mismatched bread spoils the whole experience and taste (imagine sweetish white breakfast bread with mustard and pickles that go with that sandwich).

It is not what is being advertised on the flyers (see photo), cashier does not mention the bread while taking order, and, at €21/sandwich, the experience is short of a disappointment.

I expect Joe’s to get this...

Un disastro totale: licenziate tutti, dai cuochi ai camerieri.

Esperienza semplicemente orribile. Abbiamo pagato più di 100€ complessivi (95€ solo per il cibo, esclusi i costi delle bibite) per quella che non si può nemmeno definire una cena, ma un insulto al buon senso. Più di 31€ a testa per cibo riscaldato male, freddo e insipido.

La carne era gelata, immangiabile, probabilmente riscaldata più volte, e la salsiccia aveva un sapore disgustoso, paragonabile alla plastica. Siamo stati costretti a lasciare praticamente tutto nei piatti perché era inaccettabile, e di certo non siamo persone difficili da accontentare. Abbiamo chiesto spiegazioni a un cameriere, che invece di scusarsi o cercare di risolvere il problema, si è permesso di rispondere in modo sgradevole e maleducato, come se fosse colpa nostra se il cibo faceva schifo.

Ma il vero colpo di grazia è stato quando il ragazzo che si occupava dei piatti, vedendo che non avevamo toccato nulla, si è catapultato sul nostro tavolo appena abbiamo coperto i piatti con i tovaglioli. Ha cercato disperatamente di portare via tutto in fretta e furia, probabilmente per evitare che gli altri clienti si accorgessero che non avevamo mangiato niente. Un comportamento ridicolo e imbarazzante.

Qui non si tratta solo di un servizio pessimo, ma di un’intera gestione che andrebbe rivista da capo a piedi. I cuochi non sanno cucinare, i camerieri non sanno servire, e l’intero staff sembra pensare che i clienti siano stupidi. Pagare 100€ per cibo riscaldato e un trattamento del genere è inaccettabile.

Evitate questo posto come la peste. Piuttosto che tornare qui, preferirei buttare via i soldi o andare a mangiare in qualsiasi altro ristorante. Qui non tornerò mai più e spero che chiunque legga questa recensione faccia lo stesso. Un’esperienza così pessima non merita di essere dimenticata.

“Lavoro anch’io in un ristorante, quindi so quanto sia importante offrire un buon servizio. Qui invece è stato un disastro totale: personale scortese, incompetente e completamente disorganizzato. Per avere da bere abbiamo dovuto rincorrerli, e ogni volta ci rimandavano a qualcun altro. Se non avete voglia di lavorare, statevene a casa! Un’esperienza pessima sotto...
