La Crota - Trattoria con Pizza — Restaurant in Milan

A dinner for 1 became a very special, and what felt like almost an exclusive, dinner for the 3 tables dining in including myself. Walking up to the establishment's door, in a narrow street quietly nestled between the doumo and shopping district, patrons were prompted by a sign to use the door knocker. A man with a cheerful smile invited me in and offered me seating right away. I felt lucky became just a few moments other patrons, also without reservation, were sadly turned away. It appeared that the man was working by himself. He treated every guest warmly and with respect. Even though he didn't speak the same language with everyone, he seemed to find ways to communicate that were just adorable to watch. The dish i had was the shrimp with creme pasta, it was delicious and satisfying. I ate every bite. It was a very sweet dinner for 1 but felt like a dinner with the restaurant owner and a couple of other patrons. If you get a chance to eat there, I hope you're lucky like me to get a great host, chef and warm experience. This made my Milan trip...

The food seemed great and the place looks really authentic which we loved, I would have loved to say I was able to eat there; however, as soon as I set a foot inside the place, the lady that works as cashier let me know it was going to be a long wait and that she WON’T guarantee a time for us to be seated. I understand the place was busy, but to me, customer service and being nice is non-negotiable, specially if you are making me feel I’m kind of asking you to allow me give you my money. Rispondo alla recensione negativa di Andrea Rocchi in quanto quella sera ero presente. Ho sentito il proprietario parlare alle prime 4 persone arrivate alle 21:52 affermando che aveva specificato, e ricevuto conferma, di arrivare TUTTI non oltre alle 21:45. Non avendo rispettato neanche lontanamente i patti ha deciso alle ore 22 (a quel punto erano in 7) di negare loro l’ingresso e girare il cartello Aperto a Chiuso. Ero dentro che mangiavo e alle ore 22:13 il gruppo, a questo punto, composto da 9 persone si è allontanato. Quindi a quell’ora mancavano ancora 7 persone. Il proprietario, e’ il proprietario! Non è un dipendente. Quindi vorrei che le persone che leggono il post, si chiedano perché dovrebbe perdere 16 clienti con i loro soldi. E’ pazzo?? O un folle come scrive il buon Andrea nella sua recensione??? Cresce invece in me la stima per questi esercenti che, davanti al denaro, mettono il rispetto della persona e del lavoratore a costo di smenarci. Aggiungo che si vedeva bene che a nessuno fregava niente di lui se non ad un ragazzo che imbarazzato lo vedevo affannarsi nel tentativo di contattare al telefono i ritardatari. E’ un peccato veder scaricare il barile in una vile recensione anziché avere la grazia e il buonsenso di ammettere di aver commesso un errore e scusarsi con la persona. D’altronde, mi pare di aver capito che siamo nell’era dei leoni da tastiera e quindi diffamare cose e persone e’ oramai una semplice routine.
