Street food Betlemme — Restaurant in Milan

The chef seemed to follow the mask regulation but there were three other men in the kitchen not obeying mask regulations and exhibiting unsanitary behavior. The manager came in and started yelling, without a mask, at the chef while he was preparing food.

The other man in the kitchen was chopping vegetables but the mask was down on his chin.

During all of this, a man from the restaurant across the street entered the kitchen area. He was not wearing a mask. He put his uncovered hand in the pickle jar and took a pickle out and ate it. The manager then gave him a cup of hummus and the man returned across the street.

I am so honored to be a part of this magnificent warm environment even for a day. Remarkable hospitality, all those smiles and welcoming hearts, kindness, respect, simplicity💚 truly heartwarming experience. I can't even begin to compliment the food. Fresh ingredients made into extremely tasty meal. This food simply warms up the soul of a guest. The kitchen is very clean and tidy, and the interior is sweetly decorated. Found this gem as we were walking around the streets of Milan. We were CRAVING food other than pizza and pasta at this stage :) They not only offered Arabic Palestinian food, it’s halal too! The hospitality is on another level, they were all extremely nice and welcoming. We had the steak shawerma, zinger, shish tawouk and a burger - all sandwiches were really good. We also ordered hummus, fattoush and french fries and everything tasted very fresh and authentic. Reasonably priced for Milan, specially that the portions were not small at all.
