Trattoria Angolomilano — Restaurant in Milan

The best service I’ve had in Italy. The staff there were so lovely, and even helped me type out the wonderful cheese “Valtaleggio” for my future cheese hunts. The Gorgonzola and the red wine variety they served were also perfect. Whoever is curating their cheese deserves an award.

The Ossobuco and risotto Milanese were my first, so I don’t want to judge the restaurant, they just might not be for me. They were excellently prepared and the meat was tender off the bone. Plenty of saffron and a very herbal flair.

My friends tartare risotto was much better and came out smooth and al dente.

The Campari spritz they prepared and house red and white wines were excellent, and the staff did a great job making recommendations for other options as well.

Esperienza non del tutto positiva in questa trattoria nel quartiere Isola. Non mi è piaciuto l'accoglienza, il servizio, e l'insistenza nel dover prendere l'antipasto, in quanto il cameriere ci diceva che bisognava attendere almeno 25 minuti perché il pranzo fosse pronto. In realtà è arrivato dopo 10 minuti. Il vino servito nei calici è stato servito in maniera un po' grossolana. Il cameriere deve avere un tovagliolo per raccogliere l'eventuale goccia che cade dopo aver versato il vino. Potrebbe sporcare la tovaglia. Personalmente scelgo la cotoletta alla milanese con patate e sinceramente rimango stupita perché mi arriva una carne alta 4cm tagliata in due e cruda all'interno. Chiedo di cuocerla di più, non mi aspettavo di dover specificare ben cotta una cotoletta!! Di solito è bassa, ad orecchio di elefante, e cotta. Questa è tutt'altro. Loro si giustificano dicendo che la fanno così. Punto e basta. Il totale per due calici, due primi e due secondi e due tiramisù è di 137 euro. Peccato che non si sono ricordati che avevo prenotato con the fork, stavano zitti zitti ma gliel'ho ricordato io ed hanno applicato lo sconto. Non ci tornerei una seconda volta, soprattutto per la poca professionalità, e poi queste cameriere che si credono chissà chi. Sorriso ed educazione sono...
