Service RUDE treating me like a LIAR and NOT EVEN A SORRY. I went to this shop and I paid for 3 ice creams. My sister came into the shop and grab one of them to give it to my mom. I asked for the 2 gelato, and then when asking for the third one she said in a very impolite way that she already put the 3 gelato. In the beginning I was confused thinking that I just paid for 2, but I checked the ticket and I paid for the three. I said to the woman again that she didn’t give it to me and she gave me a really bad look, neglecting her head, and assured she did (in a really bad way) I tried to explain that this didn’t happen and she wanted me to speak with the woman on the till. My sister came again ti the shop, then she put the 3 without even looking at us, no sorry, no apology, nothing. WORST...

Ed eccola qui! La volevo provare da un sacco di tempo e... TAC! Ci sono, finalmente, riuscito! Viel è una catena commerciale di famiglia, che ha aperto, ufficialmente, i battenti nel 1948. Ci sono varie sedi a Milano, ognuna di esse gestita da un membro della famiglia Viel, ma questa è quella più antica, tra quelle attualmente esistenti. Risale, infatti, agli anni '60. Prima si trovava al civico 21, poi, si è spostata al 15, dove si trova attualmente. La gelateria Viel è, sicuramente, uno dei locali più storici e conosciuti di Milano! Ed è facile capire il perché.... I gelati sono FANTASTICI! Per non parlare del frappè, dei centrifugati, dei frullati, della macedonia, dello yogurt, delle "granite", della sfogliatella napoletana, dei waffel e delle crêpes! Qualunque gusto, o ripieno, si possano scegliere, sono SENSAZIONALI!!!! Ma, soprattutto, i gelati e tutto il resto sono ARTIGIANALI! Cosa rara da vedersi nelle vie principali, di questi tempi! Perché ho scritto "granite" tra virgolette? Per un motivo molto semplice: pur essendo artigianali e pur avendo un buon sapore, sono ben lontane dalle granite che mangio in Sicilia o nei locali siciliani a Milano (io sono siciliano, quindi so di che parlo!😆). Più che granite, sembrano dei frappè col ghiaccio. Questo non significa, tuttavia, che non siano buone, anzi! Una specialità molto particolare (proposta solo in questa sede), è il Choco Kebab: lanciato a Expo 2015, è una crêpe con panna montata e cremino (si può anche aggiungere gelato). BUONISSIMO ANCHE QUESTO!!!! SOPRATTUTTO, SE FARCITO CON IL GELATO!!!! I titolari e il loro staff sono gentili e disponibili! I prezzi sono nella media della zona! La posizione della gelateria è comoda: si trova in Corso Buenos Aires, a pochissimi metri dalla fermata della M1, Porta Venezia. Il locale è un po' strettino, il che, soprattutto nelle ore pomeridiane del weekend può rappresentare un problema!😅 Ma, ciò e irrilevante: il locale è, comunque, ottimo e merita di essere...

Delicious frozen yogurt, however, the staff is not so friendly. After translating the menu from Italian to our native language (which is not English fyi), we went inside to kindly ask in what steps do we order the yogurt. The staff tried to send us back outside to the menu. I told her, we already studied it for nearly 10 mins, and it is only in Italian. She started “screaming” at us that as Americans we can translate what is written there. I asked her not to scream and I said that I am not American. After that, the whole exchange was very unpleasant, as you could feel her negative energy...
