Eppol Pie — Restaurant in Milan

Two of my friends and I sat down and were served our drinks quite quickly. Sadly we then waited two hours to try get our food order. We saw many tables come and go and yet we were completely ignored. We ended up having to leave due to needing to eat. Server was well aware we were trying to get her attention and refused to come over. We tried our best to speak Italian and I just hope she was not ignoring us because we were English. Great coffee, great pastries, great staff

Location - Eppol Pie is very centrally located and easy to get to. You’ll be seated in a quiet street.

Facilities & atmosphere - inside and outside are both beautiful and feel modern. The bar looks gorgeous and I love the interior but chose to sit outside. Outside you’ll see a lot of locals which gives it a very authentic and lovely touch.

Food & beverages - the coffee is very tasty and the recommended pastry was delicious. What more do you want?

Ordiniamo quattro brunch che prevedono pancakes allo sciroppo d'acero, delle uova, succo d'arancia e caffè. Dopo un po' arrivano dei pancakes con un specie di marmellatina che nulla ha a che vedere con lo sciroppo d'acero. Chiediamo chiarimenti sulla natura della marmellatina e la cameriera, visibilmente impreparata, dice che sono quello che fanno loro. Ribatto che lo sciroppo d'acero arriva dal Canada e quindi è improbabile che sia fatto in casa. Come parlare al muro. Servire una cosa per un'altra è un reato. Il succo d'arancia presente solo sul menù. Di nuovo a chiedere chiarimenti ma la risposta è: "o succo o caffè". Finalmente alla cassa si chiarisce che il succo è incluso. Sfortunatamente il conto è già stato pagato così, per scusarsi, mi porgono 1.40€ di monetine come sconto. "Investiteli in formazione al personale" penso io. Mediocre il servizio, mediocre la gestione con quell'euro e quaranta, pessimo il pancake (quello del Mac ha vero sciroppo d'acero), appena sufficienti le uova: pane poco tostato e sapore acido troppo accentuato della salsa bernese(?). Ambiente: sfavorevole la condivisione con un canile improvvisato. Ora, risponderanno alla recensione dicendo che sarebbe bastato dirglielo e che tutto si poteva risolvere.
