Casa Balbi - Trattoria Pizzeria — Restaurant in Naples

This is a really great restaurant & pizzeria just 100m from the Duomo. The staff is very kind, professional and speaks English well. I made dinner reservations online at TheFork.it via Google Maps link and by phone very easily. Our family of 10 ate here 3 nights in a row because it had such delicious food, was closely located to our accommodations, and opened at 7pm. I’m ashamed I didn’t take a picture of their pizza because it is FANTASTIC, (Capricciosa and Nerano!) and makes you pause and close your eyes to savor the experience. Included is a picture of their Nerano pasta which was everything I ever wanted in a regional dish; furthermore, our family enjoyed their insalata mista, mixed meat/cheese board, patate fritta, scallopine al limone, fettuccine alla bolognese, spaghettoni dishes, tiramisu, lemon cake, and house red & white wines. An absolute delight!...

Avoid this place for sure. The service was bad and food mediocre. And to top it all off myself and my wife had our phones stolen off pur table by a "begger" who targeted our table. He begged for bread that the sever suggested we have when she brought our meal. When she brought the bread we asked for parm and Chile flakes. She never returned. However the bigger showed up almost immediately after asking for bread, using it as a distraction. While we were giving him bread he must have slipped the phones under his coat.

I am not convinced the restaurant were in on it.

Even if not, why was he allowed to come ro our table and why did the server never return to our table. And to top it off- our table was the only one obscured from view from the security cameras. Convenient.

Best Pizza by far!!! The crust is just airy, fluffy but still crunchy Tried many different well known Pizza places in 1 week and this one was a random place I walked by Came back the next day Insanely nice flavour, perfectly cooked, san marzano tomatoes and great quality cheese Super good prices! 6€ for a margherita with that quality!! (Had the buffala for 8€) Can highly recommend!!
