Il Pasticcio — Restaurant in Naples

It pains me to write a 1 star review as I have been in Naples a few days and have experienced only wonderful restaurants and lovely people. Unfortunately, this is a definite exception. This is a place where you will get completely ripped off so PLEASE AVOID IT. We paid 40 euros for three tiny dishes and two drinks - the man running the cafe completely plucked the number out of his head and had the cheek to smile at us while he was doing it. Yes, we were definitely naive to go in and let him recommend some dishes to us without seeing the prices but we did it in good faith, not expecting someone to completely take advantage of the situation. Again, please ignore the good reviews in this place and avoid it like the plague. P.S. you can look af my profile - I am a genuine reviewer who has barely ever written a negative review as I try to usually brush them off but people have the right to know about this...

A good reminder to be attent even though you're in a rush. Got two pastries and I was insisted on paying cash. I didn't have cash at the time and turned away. After I insisted, they pulled out the card reader and gave it to me to pay without showing or telling me how much. Turns out two dry old wurstel pastries cost me 7 euro!! Giving a star, because it was me who haven't double checked the price. Throughout 6 months in Naples it's first time when I paid this much for...

It was awful. The menu was without prices. When we asked how much the drinks where, they said it was 8euros for a cocktail. Normally it comes with some chips, olives, ect. But here we got wattery cocktails without snacks. Later we saw that other people (Italians) got snacks with their drinks. The drinks themselves where below quality for an Italian bar. When we wanted to pay the batteries of the machine died and we had to wait 10minutes to pay. Don't go there...
