It's a place with atmosphere. Other than that, it's a tourist trap. But at least the staff are polite.

The fish of the day is priced by "skilled waiters guess".

We felt like having seafood pasta and got trapped into the catch of the day talk. In hindsight, a lot should be different.

The lobster was offered to us at "hand weighed" 55E. The weighing by hand is first warning sign. So we ok'd.

Second warning sign, the live lobster was not in water, it was just on ice sitting outside.

The meal arrived. Third warning sign, they have no lobster forks. At this point, I'm suspicious whether they know what they're doing.

The food was ok, but definitely not 55E worth.

We had a nice atmosphere dinner and went home.

3hrs later, both my wife and I started to feel nauseated. She threw up a little. I did not. Luckily, it passed.

I don't think I can recommend this place for anything else than a drink to enjoy a seat beside the marina.

Edit: in response to the owner. Tourist trap definition example: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tourist_trap

My comment about lobster fork is a simple recommendation to get to all the meat. Not that I do not use hands to eat a meal like lobster.

The fact that you don't use scales to weigh the seafood, or that we felt sick after eating it, and the fact that you don't seem to know how to handle lobster or seafood is still valid and without a response from your establishment. In a true Italian fashion, you chose to have an argumentative response and feel offended rather than take the comments onboard and improve your establishment. As such, you remain a tourist...

Really disappointed. At first we were quite impressed with the view and the great interior of the place, it looked qui nice. The prices were quite high (15 euros for pasta) but it was expected from the location and outlook. Although there was english text in the menu, half of the items weren’t translated and it was really difficult to read it.There were a few items on the menu which were unavailable but we went with the meat ragu and pasta with broccoli and parmigiana. Our server was quite busy with other tables and didn’t pay much attention to our troubles, much less explain what is in the meals. So, when I received the pasta with broccoli and parmigiana, I was surprised it had small mussels!! As I am allergic to seafood(and there were no signs for food allergies in the menu), I checked every item tevia google translate and the word used in the menu was ‘lupine’ which means type of a spice. Apparenty, in Italian lupini di mare means small mussels and as the server said: ‘it is my fault, because I misspelled it’. I ordered a marinara pizza (which is the only reason I’m giving 2 stars). During the whole time, the server paid no attention, didn’t ask us about the food and didn’t even apologize for the situation, and if course we paid for both meals. Obviously our lunch was ruined and we definitely didn’t enjoy the default 15% service charge for the experience. As a whole, the food was nice, the interior too, but the service definitely needs...

I came to this restaurant in February. I hesitated to enter first because it was typically a restaurant where I could anticipate that tourists could be easily trapped with beautiful kitsch lights at the entrance. I however decided to try since there were some peaceful families which seemed to enjoy their meal. When I sat on my table I noticed that most of the employees did not speak English. I asked what they could propose for a meal with fish. They showed me what they had on display. I should have been more cautious since they had already tried to sell their most expensive wine. They proposed spaghetti with a fish called dentice. The meal was ok, although not well cooked. I took also two glasses of wine. The view on the sea was nice but I paid for it! The bill was 135 euros for a single person! I am ashamed not to have reacted immediately when I had to pay but I was so shocked by the price that I could not say a word. The caricature of restaurant exploiting poor tourists. Really a shame. Please foreigners think twice before approaching this tourist trap. Does not even deserve one star but I do not have other possibility if I want to post this message. I would add it would be better to investing on price transparency and moderation rather than on commenting and challenging...

For supper, we decided to try one of the restaurants along the port and ended up at Donna Luisella, which boasts a stunning location right in front of the boats with a direct view of Mount Vesuvius (which, to our surprise, was actually on fire during our visit!). The restaurant was quiet when we arrived, so we were seated immediately. Service was quick and friendly, and the place was clean, nicely decorated, and perfect if you’re after a dinner with a view. We ordered a selection of dishes to sample the menu: melanzane, pork sausages, bruschetta, vegetable salad, and finally fried calamari and shrimp. Unfortunately, most of the food tasted like it had been pre-prepared and reheated. The pork sausages were dry, and while the tomatoes on the bruschetta were fresh and delicious, the bread itself was a little too stale to enjoy fully. The highlight was the calamari and shrimp, coated in their special 00 flour for a satisfying crunch. The calamari was cooked perfectly, but the shrimp still had thick veins left in, which was disappointing. Overall, while the views, atmosphere, and quick service were excellent, the food quality didn’t match the setting—especially given the prices. Rating: 3/5
