Stayed here in may with my parents and aunt. It was a decent location, and it was clean enough with great views of vesuvius from the roof top but other than that it was really noisy! Especially our room (407) we were overlooking the pool and although it wasn't the hotels fault, the street noise from the motorbikes or cars beeping their horns all night, the restaurant across the road seemed to be throwing glass bottles in a bottle bin which sounded like loud smashes at all hours of the day and night. (My parents were across the hall in 406 and they had a much quieter balcony. There was also constant building works across the way in other buildings so drills and hammering could also constantly be heard all day. Again, not the hotels fault but just our experience.
The hotel was clean and for the most part staff were friendly, albeit a few.
Breakfast wasn't to our liking. The only hot food they offered were eggs. Other than that it was all continental. Cereals, cakes, croissants. Nice enough selection and mostly fresh but not great.
The hotel had zero atmosphere around the pool or around the bar etc in the evening. It was like a ghost town. Assuming most people just use it as a Base for sleeping.
Rooms have no iron or tea and coffee making which wasn't ideal after a day out sight seeing.
Shower kept changing temperature and it was leaking out into the room which could cause a slipping hazard and almost did a few times.
Door handle was loose and almost came off a few times. Had to ask staff to tighten it. Just felt like they bodged things up as and when they happened but never really fixing things properly. Infact, my dad's shower stopped working and when he complained to the young boy on reception duty, he said he wasn't sure how to fix it and told my dad to go down to the pool and shower there. Ridiculous response. So we ended up having to let him use our shower. Not a good response from the hotel at all.
There is alot of stairs up to the hotel which is not ideal when you have bags and cases etc. Luckily we had my dad there to help and he also helps another few ladies who were struggling. It's not ideal, they should have a ramp or staff to help instead of just leaving the guests to lug the cases up themselves.
All in all it was a nice holiday bur very very basic on...
Read moreZi Teresa is a historic restaurant located right by the yacht harbor in Naples, known for its traditional Neapolitan cuisine and picturesque waterfront views. The setting is elegant, and the location promises a classic dining experience — but sadly, our evening fell short of expectations, especially considering the final bill of €175.
We ordered several dishes: the Insalata Caprese was fresh and flavorful — a solid start. The Mazzancolle Griglia (grilled shrimp) came with four large shrimp, but they were overcooked and had a strange, medicinal taste, almost like penicillin. The Cotoletta (breaded cutlet) with fries was tasty but small, more suited for a light lunch. The Filetto di Pepe Verde was very disappointing — the meat tasted boiled and had a noticeable bitterness that made it hard to eat.
We were also looking forward to trying their famous “Vesuvio” dessert, but were told it was unavailable — despite being among the first customers of the evening, which was truly disappointing. We ended the meal with Tagliata di Frutta, which was fresh, but felt like a poor substitute for what we had hoped to enjoy.
To make matters worse, the end of the meal felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. The waiter told us that tips were not included in the bill and handed us an envelope. He then took the check away and only returned it after coming back to collect the envelope. When we finally saw the receipt, it became clear that a service charge had already been included. As we stood up to leave, he opened the envelope in front of us to check whether a tip had been left — a gesture that felt both disrespectful and inappropriate.
Despite its lovely setting and long-standing name, Zi Teresa did not live up to its reputation, and we...
Read moreWe spent 4 days in Naples and this was the worst experience we had so far of all lunches and dinners. the service was not friendly and not really pro-active. Sorry to say, but we compared with other places in Naples, not just anywhere else in the world. We served wine ourselves, water, etc. And this was supposed to be a fancier place Very average food. We ordered a Napoletana salad (came out as caprese just served on bread) and 2 pasta dishes with seafood. Really average, especially taking the price into account. Won’t recommend the food. Once we finished the salad, we had to wait for another 35 minutes to receive the pasta dishes. 35 minutes!! They have live musicians who play music and even if you do t order or ask them, they WILL ASK YIU FOR MONEY, and won’t leave until you you give them something. The musicians aren’t inspiring or even entertaining. We were forced by them to give them money. Beware.
Ok, what was before wasn’t really a big thing. The big thing happened when we paid the bill. The waitress repeated twice: “the service is not included” and refused to leave before gettin the tip. I felt very embarrassed. So I asked her to exchange me 20 EUR. The total bill was 77 EUR. She came back quickly, gave me 10 EUR without asking anything and ran away. I could even tell her anything. Well, I spend quite a lot of time in this part of Europe and can say that 10 EUR tips is something exceptional. This one was totally stolen.
Please, don’t go to this place. There’s plenty of other nice, cool, tastier and friendlier places in Naples. Don’t let your experience in this...
