La Piazzetta — Restaurant in Naples

This place was empty and at the beginning I thought it was due to the odd time to have dinner. The staff barely acknowledges you, no type of welcoming and once I sat down by myself they could be seen looking both by side of wall to see who is going to serve you. Once sat down menus took about 5 min to arrive (no one was in the restaurant keep in mind). As a tourist most of us try to accommodate the mother tongue some what but these people were minimum English and no type of understanding that the customer comes first especially since the menu was in English and Italian. On to the food which I ordered an appetizer 100g of fish piece to try it and a couple of their pizzas for me and my wife with bottled waters. Roughly 15 mins after pizzas came and then 5 min after a big plate of a full fish came about, I'm staring at this time in confusion how could a 100g appetizer fish that costs 5 euros be in reality a whole fish prepared. At this time im asking for the menu ensuring that this is the appetizer I asked for he shrugs and says "yes but for two people" so I tell him to return it and provide the appetizer I asked for. Basically this restaurant was not having it they figured I'm a tourist and screwed me over with 5 euros to sit and eat there and another 15 for a plate of small fish with some huge lemon (honestly there was more lemon than fish) I wish I could give them 0 stars the owner or boss didn't care at all he wanted the payment in full no questions asked he didn't even come speak to us about what happened. And to make matters worse he checked to see if the payment I provided was original bank notes since at this point I'm fuming. My 21-year old daughter was invited to “visit the kitchen” during our dining experience with a tour group. While in the kitchen, she was groped and a male staff member got in her face/personal space and made her very uncomfortable. When challenged by my wife, the manager & tour guide (interpreting) basically said the man was “just being Italian” and letting my daughter know she was a ‘beautiful bella.’ We prevented a couple of other ladies (including my 18-year old daughter) from visiting the kitchen when invited. We reported it to the cruise ship security and only declined offers to file a formal complaint with local law enforcement because we didn’t want to get detained during our vacation. Food was actually pretty good, but definitely avoid this place if you have any young women...

After a lovely stroll along the waterfront, we decided to dine at this charming restaurant with a beautiful view. The ambiance was pleasant, and the seating arrangement was well-organized, even though the place was quite busy. We chose from a mix of seafood and land-based dishes – I had the seafood risotto, and my partner enjoyed the tomato meatballs. The pricing was reasonable for the location, and the food was satisfactory.
