CHEAP AND GOOD. we paid 32 euros
Family owned business tastes like Momma’s Home-cooked food. The family is very friendly, the son is helping on the dining area getting orders. (he can speak and understand english). We came in early around 11:30am for lunch. It looks like we were the first customers of the day as it was empty inside.
The shop is small, only fits 4 sets of 2 seater table. However they provided extra tables outside. They are located along the market area, if you’re particular with cleanliness, you may want to avoid this place as it’s a messy street.
We ordered: Beef tripe stew - tomato based with a bit of spiciness topped with cheese. It was nice, the meat was tender, however there’s a bit of meat smell. Linguini Shrimp - simple, cooked with olive oil, salt and very fresh and generous amount of prawn (around 10 pcs) Fried Sardine - fresh fish, generally i find that the fried food in naples is a little bland. That’s why they give you salt and pepper on a side so you can add according to your preference.
Environment: 3/5 (the restaurant is clean however the location is on a market) Waiting: 5/5 Taste: 4/5 Price: 5/5 Service: 5/5

Read moreWhat a wonderful meal!! Small, quaint Tripperia e Trattoria that serves mostly pasta and tripe in several variations. My brother and I had the Trippa In Umido which is a mixture of intestinal meats, cheek meat and hoof meat, cooked in a light tomato sauce. Have them add Parmesan and it puts it over the top. This dish is not for the faint at heart, but if you are adventurous be sure to try it. They have other tripe dishes that I would have liked to try, and my sister-in-law had the Pasta Carbonara which she and my brother both said...
Read moreThis small restaurant/butcher shop has a warm, welcoming atmosphere that attracts both locals and tourists. In here I lived the most picturesque experience in Naples, talking to a couple of locals while enjoying an amazing plate of "trippa e fagioli".
Food is a little low on salt, but you can add it on your own as the chef said "salt is bad for your health". That didn't ruin the experience by one bit, it was still an...
