We got so lucky not once but twice that we were able to eat here because this place is such a gem but you really should make reservations. Where to begin?! The atmosphere is so cozy yet so authentic you really feel like you’re in proper Italy. The food is honestly the best food we had in the 6 days that we traveled around Italy, and we traveled all around Amalfi coast and still hands down the most amazing food. It was truly like a home cooked meal. Did I also mention the price is what locals pay, not tourist. The staff especially one of the owners had such a warm soul and greeted us with warmth and happiness! It’s a a family owned business and everyone is so nice. You can also watch how they cook your food. We fell in love with this place that we went back twice. Honestly for us tourists especially minority looking we felt really comfortable, meaning no weird staring , no laughing at us and no rudeness. It’s truly what we were looking for. Cannot say how much this place really changed our experience while staying in...
Read moreNo disagreement with other reviews posted. Close to the bridge crossing chaiai, few will ever pass it but it's worth seeking out. It's a busy place so booking is necessary, two of us got lucky late in the evening without though. The ambience is charming and authentic, housed in an interesting and traditional setting. Attention is professional, though willing to engage. Food is prepared with care and is of high standard in home cooked style. I had a fennel starter, raw with parmesan olive oil and lemon which was very nice, I will try to make it myself! My secondi was pork cutlet with spicy peppers. It was spicy as well, but a gorgeous flavour too. A contorni of fried broccoli didn't seem like the broccoli we have in England but equally was something we have had elsewhere called chicory. Strange as to me it seems like spinach... Maybe it's just the leaves? Cherry trifle was delicious, more like a moist cake. Food and wine were at a fair cost and we would certainly...
Read moreI am writing this review within half an hour of leaving the restaurant because I am just blown away with how great was Ristorante Amici Miei and how much we enjoyed our evening there.
Staff were incredibly nice and professional from the moment we arrived. They greeted us with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine and fried mozzarella (amazing!). They also helped us with choosing a bottle of wine that would compliment our food.
Food was absolutely exquisite. The pasta with aubergine, tomato and Gorgonzola was the best thing I have had on our trip to Naples and probably in my entire life. Fantastic. For dessert I had tiramisu which was again absolutely delicious.
In summary we had an amazing experience and if we ever return to Naples Amici Miei will be our first stop. It is a family business that clearly values their customers and wants to serve people the best Neapolitan cuisine.I would give 100 stars if Google...
