Ristorante Antichi Sapori — Restaurant in Naples

Horrible service. Waiter constantly trying to upsell on drinks and was argumentative. We ordered a dish that never came, and one person’s dish arrived 10 minutes later than everyone else’s.

Seafood ravioli came with a shrimp that had not been deveined, which resulted in shrimp poop getting all over the pasta. When we showed the waiter, he argued with us and said “it’s kaka. It’s no problem.” Eventually he took away the dish, but then left it on the bill. We had to speak with the manager to get it removed.

Someone in our party ordered catch of the day by the kg and specifically asked for 1/4 kilogram which the waiter agreed to. Then we received a whole fish and were billed €55 for 1 kg of fish. The waiter would not stop arguing with us and refused to do anything. He told us it was our mistake even though we specifically asked if they could do 1/4 kilogram and he said yes.

Excellent little restaurant. Reasonably priced, good quality and very good portion sizes. Highly recommended. I will be going back!

I went back and it dropped a star due to the waiter (from 5 to 4). food still excellent but there was a problem. While eating the food, my lad wanted another coke. I asked the waiter for a coke, but he came back with another grilled chicken. I said that I hadn't ordered it and that we wanted a coke. I checked with our lad and he would eat a 2nd piece. The waiter left the plate and fetched a coke. When it came to the bill, they charged me €15 instead of €14 for the mixed grill, and they charged me for the extra chicken I didnt order. I spoke to the waiter and offered to pay half as it was eaten but not ordered. Instead of talking rationally, he started getting loud, emotional and got money out of his wallet. The owner became involved and just struck off the full amount for the chicken without question. It's a shame the waiter behaved like this.

In Naples while on a Celebrity Cruise. We were walking around Naples when we decided to grab lunch and stumbled upon this awesome restaurant. The menu looked amazing and we were hard-pressed to make a decision, but ultimately went with a typical Neapolitan Margherita pizza. While I’m sure you cannot find a bad pizza in Naples, I would have to say this one was one of my most favourite pizzas ever. We enjoyed some wine, a pizza each, in reality one pizza probably would have worked for us both, but I couldn’t resist and ate all of my own as well as about half of my wife’s. Fantastic pizza. And then, without ordering it, a complementary piece of tiramisu was served to us, and as real connoisseurs of tiramisu my wife and I were both over the moon for probably the best tiramisu we have ever had.
