Ristorante e Pizzeria Stella — Restaurant in Naples

We got recommended this from our hotel for good food so we decided to give it a try. The worst experience in service ever!!

Actually it was just one waiter who was rude obnoxious and arrogant. The slightly chubby short male with an attempt at a goatee. He initially told my wife the tables at the front were ‘reserved’ …on a Monday night with few guests. He wanted to sit us in the back, away from his area, presumably to lessen his workload.So we politely asked if we come back and reaver tomorrow night or any other night. He said it’s also full. Actually we know what he said wasn’t true because our hotel told us beforehand it is walk in only and there is no reservation link. So clearly he didn’t like ‘our kind’. Eventually his manager came and told us it was perfectly fine to dine at the front tables.

Because he didn’t like the outcome he decided to give my wife attitude for the next 10 minutes. Standing behind her, near our table and giving us horrible unwelcoming looks. Never have we experienced this before, and so we decided to leave without ordering food but only drink.

Actually the other staff and manager were perfectly nice and welcoming, almost apologetic…but this gentlemen’s continued to make it known we were not welcome so we decided to leave. Thanks but no thanks.

We went further towards town and had the best pizza and service!

AVOID if you see the short slightly chubby arrogant guy with almost a goatee...

Just had lunch at this restaurant. Let me start with the food, we had the drinks, caprese salad and Marguerite pizza. The food was good, we had just gotten into the area and were waiting for our room to be available. We searched and found this restaurant with good reviews. We saw there was no line but the outdoor seating was full. My husband went inside and I waited outside by the stand as we were not sure where they hosted new customers. They told my husband there was no availability, they told me we could be seated but inside. We found that a little strange but we’re happy to get seated. We ordered a light lunch since we had just gotten into town. The food was good and the wait staff delivering the food were very nice. However the main waiter and person who met my husband at the door had a different customer service approach. After having our lunch, we waited over half an hour after asking for our check. The wait staff followed up several times with the main waiter. Bottom line, the food was good, the service of the main wait staff...

I admit it, my family and I are tourists when in Napoli. Due to this crime, the ENTIRE patio was reserved...EMPTY...but reserved. About 4 waiters were shouting this to each other as we approached because we 'looked like we were from North America'??

The only table available was the one right beside the kitchen door where all the waiters stand.

I have read the other reviews that mention this segregated seating at this place, but I would never have believed it in a city surviving on tourist dollars.

After we paid way too much for two liters of water, we decided to have some self-respect and left. We found a very nice place two doors down and had a wonder pizza.

For the record, my family and I clean up pretty nicely, we are polite and respectful, and we had wonderful experiences throughout our 5 city tour of Italy. This place was the worst!
