Gelati Bianca — Restaurant in Noto

During my recent visit to Noto, I had a very disappointing experience at a local gelateria. As a tourist, I was expecting the high-quality Italian gelato that this region is known for, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. Instead of the traditional, freshly scraped gelato, I was served a scoop of what seemed to be pre-made, industrial ice cream — for a steep price of 4 euros.

The texture of the ice cream was far from ideal; it was floury and lacked the rich, creamy flavor I was hoping for. It tasted bland and artificial, a far cry from the delicious gelato I had elsewhere in Italy.

What made the experience even worse was the behavior of the staff. They were unfriendly, and it was clear they treated tourists differently from locals. I noticed that Italian-speaking customers were given much larger portions — at least three times more than what I received. The favoritism was obvious and left a bad impression.

Overall, this gelateria was a letdown in terms of both product quality and service. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone visiting Noto. Save your money and look for a better, more authentic...

If you are staying in Syracuse area you MUST get a Gelato or a Cannolo at this place. You You also get crepes, waffels or other pastries or savory options. As a Sicilian, I can guarantee that ricotta is very fresh, it actually has the original cheesy taste and not that fake super sweet taste you find in many touristic bars. Ice cream is the best I have ever had. Friendly staff. Convenient location next to some stores...

Esperienza Deludente e Scortese

Ho avuto una pessima esperienza in questa gelateria e mi sento in dovere di condividere la mia delusione.

Primo giorno: ho comprato una granita al limone e gelsi, bicchiere grande, a 4€. Già non poco per un mix di acqua e sciroppo, ma passi, considerando la grandezza.

Secondo giorno: stessa granita, ma in formato medio, e mi viene chiesto 4,50€! Confuso, ho chiesto spiegazioni, e la commessa, con un atteggiamento snervato e scortese, mi ha indicato un listino prezzi nascosto, sostenendo che i due gusti avessero costi diversi (4,50€ e 3,50€). Peccato che, anche facendo una media, non si arrivi a 4,50€!

Quando ho fatto notare che i prezzi dovrebbero essere chiari e visibili (magari esposti al bancone, no?), tutto lo staff ha iniziato a trattarmi male, quasi intimandomi di riprendermi i soldi e andarmene. Che modi!

Conclusioni: Prezzi poco trasparenti, con differenze inspiegabili. Personale maleducato e aggressivo quando si chiedono chiarimenti. Atteggiamento da "fregare il turista", senza rispetto per il cliente.

Sconsigliatissimo. Se cercate un posto dove spendere troppo per una granita mediocre e venir trattati con sufficienza, questo è il posto giusto....
