I highly recommend A’ Putia. We had an amazing experience that exceeded my every expectation. A wonderful, 3-generation owned and operated family place with impeccable service, wonderful food prepared with the freshest, local ingredients. We had a lovely table outside and spent 3 1/2 hours chatting and enjoying every delicious bite. The owners are extremely friendly, attentive and we felt right at home from the very beginning. A huge selection of wonderful wines await in the shop and with expert guidance from our hosts, we chose a bottle. The owners prepared a special antipasti dish of snacks to suit our palates: consisting of exquisite local homemade, artisan bread, crostini with homemade pestos, sesame breadsticks, olives and hands down the best eggplant caponata I have ever tasted. We enjoyed their handcrafted paninis and salads, a plate of Sicilian biscotti, a selection of Modica chocolates and caffe. The owners took the time and attention and to provide an atmosphere of hospitality and family. My family and I will never forget our wonderful experience and already have a reservation to return. A must for anyone in Palermo....
Read moreThis place is amazing. I was in Palermo for a study abroad program for a month and often found that I was craving sandwiches as a break from pasta and pizza. I got the Classic Turkey at least twice a week; it’s the best sandwich that I’ve ever eaten! The employees are so kind and welcoming, and speak great English which is a plus considering my friends and I don’t speak Italian. The vibe of the place is also wonderful - it’s calm and pretty and the sandwiches are served on tiles. You can tell they put a lot of care into their business. On our last night, I even asked our favorite servers to write down the name of their bread into my phone so I can attempt to make it at my house in the United States, and he happily did so. A’Putia Panini e Vini is the thing I will miss most...
Read moreSimply outstanding! This restaurant truly lives up to its 4.9-star Google rating, and from the moment we stepped in, we understood why. Every dish we tried, from the refreshing local cheese to the perfectly crafted panino, was a testament to the incredible freshness of the ingredients and the thoughtful way they were combined. Also cannoli are so exceptional. The ricotta is made in-house, as is the cannoli shell itself. You can taste the difference! Adding to the wonderful experience was Sandra, the owner, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Her passion truly shines through. Without a doubt, this is the best place in Palermo for an authentic and...
