Very good vegetarian food but they also have some meat available. I usually don't eat vegetables accept cucumbers. But We meet the owner of this store coincidentally. We arrived in Palermo about 9pm from Naples ,it was already a hot tiring trip. When we arrived at our destination we could not find our Hotel. So while we were walking along the street looking for the house number of building we saw the owner of the shop standing and locking up the store. I was approaching him and wanted to ask him if he knew where the hotel was, before I could say anything he smiled and and said " Are you looking for this .... Hotel ? We said yes.He said that lots of other tourist asked him the the same questions. He gave us the direction how to get to the hotel .We were so happy that someone spoke English and helped us .We when we arrived at the hotel nobody was there at the reception . We were standing at the entrance for quite some time without knowing what to do.Suddenly the owner of the shop arrived and said he wanted to make sure the we found the hotel .He asked why we were still standing outside the hotel. We explained to him that nobody was there to open the door for us. He told us not to worry. He asked us for the phone number of the hotel and immediately called them and after some time talking in their language he explained to us that someone will be here in 10 minutes. Just before he left he invited us to come his store if we wanted too.Very helpful...
Read moreWe cannot find the words to describe how good is the food at this place…First of all we have to emphasize that each and every product and dish seems to be chosen and prepared with dedication and care; the freshness and good handling bring out the core flavors of the ingredients.
We started trying a “BRIOCHE con ricotta di bufala non zuccherata, miele di ape nera sicula e cannella”. A fine and creamy perfect match for our morning cappuccino.
For the breakfast we got a very delicious « AVOCADO crostino, ovetto al tegamino, pomodorini freschie confit, semini buoni e fresche foglie di basilico » and the « SALMONE crostino norvegese affumicato, robiola al lime, avocado, cavolo viola croccante, mirtilli e semi di papavero » closing with a gold seal with a marvelous and succulent “PAVLOVA con crema agli frutti di bosco” (I’m still dreaming with those flavors).
We also tried the “ESPRESSO ILLY DI LINDA con cioccolato fondente al 70%” .

My favorite places are when you walk in, you're greeted with a smile, you look around and a comfort falls over you. Everything falls into place.
We found A Casa di Francesco by the excellent reviews and it's safe to say they hold up that expectation.
A lovely, spacious modern but cozy space. Amazing diverse regional produce from wines to vegetables, cheese and olive oils. Silvio will tell you all about them with passion while his wife Linda reigns over the kitchen with a love you can taste.
The glass cases are a treasure trove of freshly cooked dishes, cheeses, hummus, fish etc of the day. We were so so happy when we left after a late lunch, we decided to come back for more. As the picture shows, breakfast doesn't disappoint either.
A true gem with amazing people that will go above and beyond to make your experience all the more amazing.
Thank you so much, you made our Palermo visit...
