Beccafico was flavoursome...

First round was the calamari, gluten free. The batter was actually better than most gluten batters but some of the seafood was overcooked šŸ˜’. It was pretty apparent even for one lacking culinary skills like myself and who will literally eat almost anything. Also, the gluten free pasta options were limited. I was just expecting a little more at this price point. Hence the 4 šŸ¦‘'s.

Moving past that, the crab fettuccine šŸ¦€ was delectable (the picture is of gf crab spaghetti, fettuccine in the back) and the highlight of my day, rivaling a lot of seafood dishes I have consumed in Palermo.

Now, they gave me a bib which confused me at first. When the main course arrived I realized I had to put in some work to eat my crab, but I happily did work where work needed to be done.

Most of the menu is gluten free, except the...

We had such an amazing lunch. Our server Naomi, was so helpful and provided such a great customer service experience. We ordered the mussel soup for our appetizer and it was perfection (recommended by Naomi) we also ordered the marinated shrimp and uni pasta. The little chilli peppers with the shrimp were heaven it was sweet and mildly spicy, it complemented the shrimp really well. Lastly, my partner and I shared a sea urchin pasta, it was delicious. I appreciated that they split the dish for us knowing that we were sharing. Here’s the part that made us really happy and appreciative, they made a special spicy olive oil for us given that they didn’t have any. We had gone to other places were they outright told us no, but they went above and beyond beyond and the chef made us a fresh chilli oil 🤌. Thank you for making our last lunch in...

Last night we had a meal of true highs and crushing lows.

I agree with other reviews that the price is high compared to other local offerings, and this would be justified if the quality was there.

We had some fairly anonymous starters, but the mains were a different story.

The crab fettuccine as an absolute triumph. A really great dish. The prawn risotto was OK, but lacked seasoning.

I had ordered the grilled fish, and it was largely inedible. Squid which was overcooked and unacceptable. The grilled swordfish was again vastly overcooked and dry.

What makes this beyond acceptable was that we told the staff that the dish was overcooked and they did nothing at all about it. Just because surly so we left.

I would never go back and would not recommend this to anyone. Give it a wide birth, you...
