Caffe Lucá — Restaurant in Palermo

One of the worst experiences we had in Palermo. All the men working there (apart from the younger ones) are extremely rude with this typical macho behavior. They were very disrespectful towards us (either for being women or for being tourists or both, but they treated a group of male tourists like gods, so ...) and ruined our morning. We were ignored when we wanted to order another coffee and also when we tried to settle the bill. Apart from that the food was below average and granita was one of the worst I have ever tried. I can live wih the food not being top notch, but the cocky male attitude was definitely not acceptable and the old generation should learn from the young one when it comes to...

Seduti dopo una passeggiata con dei nostri amici del nord ce ne siamo subito pentiti. Il cameriere che ha portato le ordinazioni chiaramente scocciato dalla nostra presenza, sbuffando, ha quasi lanciato i bicchieri sul tavolo, e mentre stavamo per porgergli una domanda si è girato ed è andato via urlandoci "dopo che ora ho da fare". Avevamo chiesto se era possibile fare un piccolo aperitivo, ed abbiamo chiesto 4 spritz. Le bevande arrivate in dei bicchieri ancora bagnati, uno aveva lo stelo addirittura unto, avevano la stessa gradazione alcolica di un bicchiere d'acqua. Mai bevuto qualcosa di fatto peggio. Dopo un 10 minuti abbiamo chiesto allo stesso cameriere se per caso era previsto qualcosa insieme alle bevande, sempre sbuffando e parlottando tra se torna con un piattino con 3 pezzi di rosticceria mignon (noi eravamo 4 adulti e 2 bambini) duri come il granito. Gli chiediamo se per caso vi sarebbero delle patatine e non otteniamo risposta. Allora decidiamo di comprare noi un sacchetto di patatine direttamente in cassa almeno per i bambini. Dopo poco, dato che sempre lo stesso cameriere non dava cenno di darci minimamente conto, richiediamo, sempre gentilmente, ad un ragazza li presente (decisamente più gentile) che avevamo provato a chiedere delle patatine. Lei si scusa e va dentro a riferire. Dopo qualche minuto riappare il cameriere di prima che in malomodo ci da queste patatine guardandoci com se gli avessimo offeso la famiglia. La richiesta dei servizi igienici viene presa come se avessimo chiesto un prestito decennale. Bagno sporchissimo, fatiscente e senza sapone e carta igienica. Mi dispiace ma la location non è tutto. Non basta essere dinanzi Piazza Marina per essere un ottimo bar, data anche la concorrenza vicina il cui personale e qualità era nettamente superiore. Se devo far assaporare a qualcuno la tipica e famosa ospitalità, qualità e gentilezza siciliana questo luogo sarà automaticamente scartato in favore di...

Extremely unfriendly and unorganised waiter!!

We waited for a long time for the waiters to notice us after we had asked to order numerous times. Then two waiters where yelling at each other right next to our table about who knows what. Then we still did not get a chance to order, so we asked again and again while the one waiter ignored us and went to take orders of tables who arrived after us. We than asked one of the girls (who's job was not to place orders) to help us, she called the one waiter that was ignoring us, who proceeded to make some offending hand gestures to...
